I originally purchased my 2021 Hyundai Santa Fe Calligraphy from a dealership in Virginia. Having moved to the Chattanooga area last year, I opted to have my vehicle serviced by Long. While I was initially confused by having to drive to the Long Volvo dealership, I soon was met by Richard in the service department. It seems that I needed a unit that regulated certain functions that prompted a "Check Engine" warning. Richard reassured me that I could continue to operate the car without danger. The part needed was ordered and an appointment scheduled when it came in. As my wife and I only own one car, I elected to stay during the changeover. I was cautioned the repair would take several hours. As I had a book and some time, I also took the opportunity have a 36K mileage service done. Richard told me that would add an additional 2 hours time frame. The four hours passed quickly. I noted the waiting area had popcorn and water available so I did not go hungry or thirsty. Almost exactly at the four hour mark, Richard came back to me and started to apologize for the delay. I told him that there was no delay as he sated the time needed for all the work. Think about this for a minute. How many times has a service department delivered on their own promise anywhere? Long Hyundai did! And as far as I am concerned, I will always try to ask for Richard when scheduling my vehicle for service. Thank you, Long Hyundai and thank you, Richard. You are a credit to your employer! More
Everyone at the service department was very friendly to me and my wife. Rick especially took the time to answer my questions and kept me in the loop of how things were progressing. The dealership itself is amazing! ,, the service center is awful. Lack of communication. They also don’t tell you anything until the car needs a new engine. I have had the worse experience with the service center. They don’t document properly either. I’m not a mechanic so if the car has issues why not tell the customer. I’m very unsatisfied with the service center and that’s why they have a high turnover rate a that particular service center. They do. Or treat the women according due to just trying to get the money and more money for a woman to have to spend. There was a note saying I declined services that wasn’t even offered to me. Also they have the mileage on my invoice as 50,000 more than what my vehicle has on there. If I would have known the service center customer service was going to be the way it is, I would not have purchased a car from them. They never greet me as I come in. I am always given the invoice and sent about my day. I could have had a wreck with my 4 kids in the car not knowing the car could have shut off at any given moment More
Had an issue with a service bill and the service tech, who I called, wasn't sure he could refund the small charge back to me over the phone. He said he would check with his manager and call me back the ne who I called, wasn't sure he could refund the small charge back to me over the phone. He said he would check with his manager and call me back the next day. I never got a call back so the following day I called back around 4:45PM. First receptionist told me the service tech was now on vacation but she would get a manager. I was left on hold for over 5 minutes at which point I hung up and called back. Happened again so I called back a 3rd time. Eventually left a voice mail for one of the managers. We'll see if I get a call back. Part of what pissed me off is when the receptionist asked what the issue was, before I could finish a sentence, she's talking over me and putting me on hold. This happened with two different receptionist. Incredibly rude like they are the only one's who are busy or whose time matters. For the record, The service tech I initially spoke with was great and offered to refund the charge. His follow up was inexcusable and if he was leaving on vacation should have notified someone. More
I was trying to put my bad experience with the service department at Long Hyundai earlier this month out of my mind. However, when I got the thank you for trusting us with your Hyundai notice in the mail it brought back the bad experience. I've read lots of reviews on this dealership regarding the service department and had I read some of these before I went in I probably would have gone somewhere else and had my oil changed even though I've been bringing it there since I purchased it from another dealership in 2018 . I understand the sales department do a great job but there's still a lot to be done with the service department. They don't even deserve the 1 star I gave them but I had to give them something so that the review would appear. I was inconvenienced after bringing my car in for an oil change and could have caused major damage to my engine. I was told I had a slight leak that could wait until the next oil change at 3000 miles. Needless to say this was not correct information. I was smelling burning and noticed a large area of oil in my garage. This happened less than a week after I was given the information. After this experience I don't trust Long Hyundai to do work on my car! More
