Dependable, great to chat with Zak who sold me the car. I like the friendly Brent who genuinely made me feel important. Great experience! Kurt at the Long Hyundai Service Center was great to work with. Went in to get my check engine light checked out right before I had my daughter. He to Kurt at the Long Hyundai Service Center was great to work with. Went in to get my check engine light checked out right before I had my daughter. He told me what the problem was, that it was under warranty so it wouldn't cost me anything to fix it and he could special order the part and have it there the next week. After my daughter was born I called them and didn't think he would remember my situation but he did and even asked how the baby was doing. He offered to loan me a rental car for the day and then take my car to fix it. He was even willing to send someone to my house to trade cars with me since I had a newborn. Luckily I was able to take it up there myself yesterday and they had it ready to pick up 6 hours later! Great service! Highly recommend them and especially Kurt! Someone who remembers your situation and little details is someone who truly cares! More

It had been brought in for the same problem repeatedly sometimes multiple times in the same day for check engine light being on. They even brought me the car on multiple occasions with the check engine light on which was the reason the car was dropped off in the first place. They repeatedly attempted to charge me fees for things that should have been covered under warrenty and look for any reason possible to avoid honoring their commitments. More

Inflated pricing I bought my wife's 2011 Sonata from Long as a program car in 2012 with about 25k miles. From the start, there was a slight notchiness to the steering I bought my wife's 2011 Sonata from Long as a program car in 2012 with about 25k miles. From the start, there was a slight notchiness to the steering, but the salespeople stated that they were all that way and it was related to the EPS. Drove another one, and sure enough, the notchiness was subtle but present. The Long service department was very good for several years performing the basic oil changes and warranty work. However, recently I attempted to get the pervasive Steering Coupler replaced either under warranty or as a goodwill measure with no success. This is the cause of the notchy steering as they made this little gear out of a material which is almost as strong as recycled gummy bears, apparently. So, the rubber degrades and the gear breaks apart and your steering goes to xxxx. Hyundai has extended the warranty on this part for KIA cars (to 100k miles), but not for Hyundai-branded cars. Any lawyers listening? So, anyway, there is an official Hyundai TSB which states that it will take 2 hours to replace this $2 part. Most people get it replaced for $180-$200 depending on their dealer's hourly charge. Long Hyundai, however, requested $435 for this work. When I pointed out that the TSB even stated it was a 2.0 hour job, they laughed and said that wasn't how they figured things. Maybe it was because my car had to get towed in due to another cheap plastic part breaking. In this case, it was the $14 starter lever. I looked this job up as well- another 2.0 hours, plus parts. But, Long Hyundai stated that it would require a full rebuild to the tune of $575! Now, I was upfront with them the whole time about having looked all this up, and they still quoted me $1000 for $450 worth of work. So, I called the dealer up the road 20 miles and got a quote - $400 plus parts, fees, etc over the phone with no hassle. The Long service manager agreed to match this price rather than see my car towed elsewhere. So, after $460 I had a car that drove well enough to get to the Honda dealer next door where it got traded in on an Acura. I took a chance on Hyundai and got burned, both by the manufacturer refusing to stand behind their product, then a dealer who wanted to make a few quick extra bucks. So, while these guys were all friendly over the years, I can't say that there was much integrity shown in this situation. More
