On Dec. 15th I made an appointment to have my Honda CRZ fixed. Informed Honda rep. that my drivers side door handle was broken, functions normally from the inside, but the outside handle was broken and no fixed. Informed Honda rep. that my drivers side door handle was broken, functions normally from the inside, but the outside handle was broken and not functional. Dec. 17th arrived for my appt. Was greeted and asked why I was in for service? Within two minutes a tech had locked the keys in my car! Not a good start. Checked in and was told I had a mandatory $145 diagnostic fee, I objected, indicated no diagnostics were necessary and reiterated clearly what was broken. Honda wouldn't do anything without my authorization to do diagnostics, I lamented, I wanted it fixed. Waited over an hour, rec'd text, confirming the door handle was broken, just as I said. Rec'd text with cost of replacement part, and then was asked if I could return the next day, Honda dealership didn't have the part. That didn't make me happy, I drove 45 minutes one way to get this fixed. I declined to return and voiced my dissatisfaction, paid my $163 bill and left. I was encouraged to fill out a survey, requested the survey and no one sent one to me. A week later I received a survey from a previous service on another of my Honda's for recall service. Filled out the service survey and again in length voiced my frustrations. On January 3rd John Jelle asked me to rate my service so I again laid out my frustrations. It's January 13th and no one from Luther Honda has reached out to offer to make this right. I did read in the email about Luther Honda's commitment to going above and beyond to make my experience great. From my seat I haven't seen anything other than below and poor service and even worst communication from Honda. It seems to me that Luther Honda only wants 5 star ratings, they even as much said only 5 star ratings are acceptable to them, so is the rating survey just to make them feel good and possibly reward employees for the number of 5 stars ratings they get or is the point to deal with issues, make improvements resulting in happy satisfied customers? So weeks later no one wants to talk to me, my car is still broken and I paid $163 to have my keys locked in my car and to wait in the waiting area for 2 hours. I will acknowledge I am old school, but it is still true today, people will talk loud and often about two things, great service and bad service. People rarely talk about adequate service and they don't recommend places that provide adequate service. Why would anyone risk having people share negative experiences about your business. I love my Honda's, have owned many, but unless Luther Honda makes this right I will never bring any of them there for service and I will certainly seek to do business elsewhere. More
Needed a service and the pick-up and delivery service worked wonderfully. Hope you continue this service after COVID is in the rear view mirror. My second visit, they have been great each time I visit. Had to get my tires checked and replace 2 of them as I ran over a nail and didn't know it.
