Sticks & Stones After an expensive weekend of moving, I was horrified and anxious to hear my 2012 HONDA Civic making screeching, scraping sounds one day into my new " After an expensive weekend of moving, I was horrified and anxious to hear my 2012 HONDA Civic making screeching, scraping sounds one day into my new "digs"! I drove to the nearest HONDA dealership (after getting an appointment via the toll-free #) and was greeted by Steve Strain, who said he was a "floater employee" and not a permanent Brookdale staff member. I explained my problem to Steve and he diagnosed my issue in less than 5 minutes! After dropping to the service dept. floor and doing a visual inspection of the underside of my car, he noticed a long tree branch was "stuck" and dragging and determined that was probably the cause for the noise. He removed the branch and by this time, I was hyperventilating about how I would/could afford car maintenance costs as he told me to 'drive it around the lot and see if that "fixed" it'. It did!!! And....he of course, did not charge me a cent. I pulled out of the Luther Brookdale Honda dealership saying a prayer of 'thanks' for sending me there and to Steve, who by the way had excellent customer service skills, a friendly smile, and great diagnostic abilities. I will return there based on this positive experience with Steve, and I thank him from the bottom of my heart! More
