I was traveling back to my home in Madison, WI when my truck lost power and would only go about 25 mph. The added stress? I was pulling my horse trailer with two horses. The dealership, knowing I was "stuck," could have taken advantage of me since I was from out of town (and a woman!), but nothing could be further from the truth. Adam in the Service department listened to what I described happened. I was worried it was something expensive like the transmission. He reassured me they'd give it a thorough check. Turned out, it was "only" a clogged fuel filter! When I asked if the service area had REALLY checked everything out (the 4-W drive, the transmission, etc.), Adam assured me they had -- and again, they could have found "unnecessary" things, knowing I was stuck, but they absolutely did not, nor did they treat me in a patronizing way. Even the person taking my payment, the guy who brought my truck around for me when it was finished, and the sales staff were pleasant, friendly and welcoming. If I lived in the Twin Cities area, I would absolutely go to Luther Chevrolet to buy my next diesel truck -- or car. Hmmm, maybe I will anyway! :-) More

I was nervous to start the whole car search process, I was scared to be pressured into buying early and being guilted into a purchase. My girlfriend heard quite a few good things about the Chevy Cruze as she had just completed the buying process as well, so I decided to at least look at them. Chris was extremely knowledgeable about his inventory and never once put down the other cars I was interested in. Rather, he focused on what aspects I was interested in and what would be the best fit for me. After the test drive I had my mind set, with gas mileage and comfort all there, Chris took it a step further and showed that he had listened to my needs when he folded down the rear seats and showed me the trunk space since I had mentioned that I am an avid skier. We decided on a model and went in to talk, I think he asked one time only, "what would stop you from purchasing today?" It never felt pressuring or uninviting, since I had told him I was just beginning the searching process. We sat and talked numbers and my girlfriend and I left to consider options. I couldn't get the service or the car out of my head and wound up purchasing the car a few days later! I have never purchased a car before but if this is what it is like every time, I plan on doing it much more! Basically, I could not say enough about this dealership, if you are looking for professionalism, an at home feel and a team that is on the same page, Luther Hudson Chevrolet GMC is it! Overall price for the vehicle was similar, although I chose to drive 20 miles to work with Scott vs. th service pales in comparison to Scott Styles. I initially went in to buy 4 new tires this time around and we found a slew of other issues ranging from brake pad, struts and even rotors. She worked to make the experience as painless as possible on me, my car and my wallet. I've been coming to the service department for 14 years or more with this 3rd vehicle. Randy and Brett in service are outstanding. Karen at the front desk is equally outstanding. The ratings above are based soley on the service department and the front desk. My disappointment is in the sales area. EVERY TIME I walk around not one sales person greets me. How are you supposed to sell me a new truck if you don't talk to me? I'm in the market for a new truck....and have always said I'm going to give my business to Luther in Hudson...because of how good Randy and Brett are in service...but I'm rethinking that. A friend came with me to drop off my truck for service and he said that not one person talked to him while he walked around the show room floor. Today when I was there to pick up my truck and pay, I was walking around the show room floor while waiting for my truck and 2 sales men were sitting in one cube area and never acknowledged me...then another in the next cube...playing on his phone...never acknowledged me...and then another after that...on his cell phone (not talking) - NONE OF THESE SALES MEN GREETED ME. it gave me a real bad taste. too bad your sales men are not as friendly as the service department. I now feel no obligation to give my business of buying a new truck to Luther in Hudson. I will continue to shop other dealerships. More
