The problem is it should be a part that VW covers indefinitely because as I see online it is a common part that breaks for no reason! I feel ripped offed to replace a broken part on a gently used 2012 Golf R with 31000 miles on it...It should not have required a 462.00 repair for a faulty part design. Perhaps you should volunteer as a respected dealer to go back to VW and assign the costs to them! As I look online I find similar audi/vw parts at least 100.00 less that the discounted price of 272.00. It makes me believe the mark-up was too high and then marked down to fool me into believing I received a discount. More

Avoid if possible I initially made an appointment for a repair online but when I called to see if I could drop my car off early I was told they couldn’t find my appoint I initially made an appointment for a repair online but when I called to see if I could drop my car off early I was told they couldn’t find my appointment so I had to make a new one. When I got to the service center to drop off my car the associate let out a huge sigh of annoyance when I explained I was dropping my car off early. Then when I showed him my initial confirmation email (which no one could find), he again voiced his annoyance and said he didn’t know if they would be able to see my car on the date I’d scheduled. I asked if I could have them take a quick look at my trunk latch while they were doing the primary repairs and he told me I’d have to pay $136 for them to just look at it. I declined. More
