semi-emergency tire replacement I stopped in because I had hit a pothole while on a road trip out of state. After I was home a couple of days, my tire low warning light came on. And, the service tech saw that I had a large "blister" on my sidewall . They were able to get me new tires (I had to get two) and did their best to find me the lowest price for this emergency repair. I appreciate their efforts. More

Repeated Engine-relatedness negligence I had a month long affair with Luther Volkswagen starting when a tow truck brought my Tiguan in because it wouldn’t start. My car spent a day or two i I had a month long affair with Luther Volkswagen starting when a tow truck brought my Tiguan in because it wouldn’t start. My car spent a day or two in the shop, then was returned to me after paying ~$800 for a broken gasket. A timing chain issue was also repaired, at no cost to me because of the warranty. The next day my check engine light came on. I brought the vehicle back in, asked for it to be appraised while they looked at it, and just as I was handed the appraisal, the person looking at my car told me it had died on a test drive. I was told because my engine had failed under their care and directly after they had just had it in the day before that they would be covering the engine and that the repair may take up to 3 months. I was upset, but they gave me a free rental until my car was repaired. However, 3 weeks later I received a call stating that the engine would be covered only 40% + $2,000 by Volkswagen. So I would have to pay $2,700 for a new engine after the dealership blew it while they were driving. Seeing little choice, . The appraisal, of course, was not valid since the dealership broke the engine, so in order to even sell the vehicle I would have had to have it repaired. I agreed to pay this amount because the alternative was to be without a car and have $0 to show for it. VW replaced the engine with a brand new engine. I picked up my car another week later. I did not make it off the lot before the check engine light came on. The tech said he screwed up on two things: some vacuum hose was not reattached property and the fuel hose had sprung a leak. Neither of these issues were present in my car before I brought it in the first time. Both issues were fixed at no cost to me. The staff were very kind, especially Lynn. However, I spent nearly a month dealing with what appears to be sheer negligence, including twice being told my car was fixed and having the check engine light come on immediately after. I am disappointed in VW’s service and I am disappointed that VW went back on their word that they would pay for my engine. I am out $3500 and 1 month of time with my vehicle because they failed to identify and correct the issues with my car. More
