FRIENDLY STAFF BUT SOMETHING ALWAYS MISSED/CONFLICTING INFO This time everything was fine with the actual tire replacement (except the tire and rim was extra dirty with black and white grease) The invoice/paper This time everything was fine with the actual tire replacement (except the tire and rim was extra dirty with black and white grease) The invoice/paperwork never makes sense though. The green boxes were checked for all tires-- even though the back tires are SHOT- this was stated on the invoice-- said at 3/32" and needs attention immediately. Every time i come in the boxes are checked differently-- cant be red one day and two months later green... Most of my issues are from past repairs. Only one side of my horn was plugged in after my il pressure sensor was replaced. almost got in an accident because someone didnt hear me honking at them, i DID get a text frm someone to correct the issue but i had my mechanic fix it at work instead. We had an issue after buying a new car here a few months back-- it didnt come with the R- Line grille badge. when it came in I was told that day i could come in ANY TIME to have it put on. I came in and was told only ONE tech knows hoe to do it and he leaves for the day at 2pm (or something like that). I asked if i could take it home with my and have my tech at work put it on. They said a firm NO for warranty reasons and said my tech most likely couldnt do it since it didnt stick on. My work does all of Carousel motors work, fixes Teslas and Lambos etc--- i think they can handle it. They said i could come back only during my work hours and it would take up to an hour and a half so the car could warm up! So my boyfriend had to take time off of work and come in for it-- took 10 mins. I was told i needed an alignment and now i all of the sudden dont? I also brought it in because of a hard start issue a few months ago- was told that nothing was wrong and GLI's always have hard starts. (even though this never happened until recently) Now 2 days ago after i leave i read the paperwork and it says "HARD START- NEEDS ATTENTION AND DIAGNOSIS" Of course at checkout they say nothing. So now have i been driving around with an issue that could have been fixed before? It has NOT gotten worse than when i brought it in so thats NOT the issue. When my fiance brought his car in and got a loaner the engine light was on. He drive back to the dealer at night in the snow to exchange it. The people were rude to him about it. I dont know why that would be an issue. We thought theyd be happy we didnt drive it like that and possibly cause damage to the vehicle. Guess not. should have just kept driving it. when i left his week my tire PSI's were also WAY OFF. one was at 48 and the new one that was replaced as at 32! They should be at 38 PSI! and No, i didnt fill them up incorrectly. i just checked them at work last week and they were all correct. Think we will just go to Schmelz VW from now on for service. Will still most likely buy from here since Doug was awesome though. More
A little miffed! friendly, over-priced service Staff is very friendly, easy check-in process for my oil change. The "texting with questions" option I received didn't work..the employee and number assigned to me was not in that day, so I ended up calling after not hearing back for a few hours...felt as though team had lost track of my requests for service. When I heard back regarding their concerns following the "courtesy safety inspection", I received a quote of over $2000 in recommended repairs. I phoned my local service station for a second opinion and their pricing for the items they deemed as necessary was 25% cheaper across the board (they had no idea of the quote I had received from the VW team). They generously offered up a loaner car while they serviced mine and when I picked mine up it was freshly washed and vacuumed. For these reasons, I'll be returning to my local service station for the extra special customer service, quality of work and pricing. More

Great Service on Short Notice The power brakes on my son's VW Jetta were failing so I pulled into a Westside VW service bay without an appointment. Service Advisor Lynn Grissom was The power brakes on my son's VW Jetta were failing so I pulled into a Westside VW service bay without an appointment. Service Advisor Lynn Grissom was able to get the car in for diagnosis after a shorter-than-expected wait. She and service technician Shane then helped me "triage" a long list of items that needed attention, including the brakes, of course. Leo arranged for an Enterprise rental car and even provided a ride to their location to speed up the process. The following day I was able to leave the Enterprise car at Westside and pick up my son's repaired Jetta. You've got a great team at Westside VW! More
