Yet another fantastic experience at MINI of Charleston. Russ always makes the process quick and easy before taking the time to make sure I really know the ins and outs of my latest MINI! She was professional, friendly and knowledgeable about the vehicles she showed me. I had an appointment and she knew what I was looking for. Reyla had everything organized for me to look at 3 different vehicles. I was in and out in 2 1/2 hours with no hassles. It was a very pleasant and painless experience purchasing this beautiful Mini. I traded in my husband’s Toyota Tacoma and received a great deal on the trade in, This is the second Mini that I’ve purchased from Mini of Charleston. The first purchase was in June 2020 for an 2014 Clubman and both experiences have been positive. I exclusively use their service department for all vehicle service. Alecia and Andy are the service advisors and they are consistently helpful and professional. I keep returning to Mini of Charleston because of the great experiences that I have with the dealership. The employees treatment of the customers is extremely important in repeat business for purchase and service. Kudos to Mini of Charleston they have great team members who value their customers. I have kept my 2014 Clubman to give to my son. He drove me to Nashville in it in 2023 and he fell in love with it. More
Another fantastic experience all around. Our Motoring Advisor, Russ Thames, was on top of it throughout the entire process. He kept us updated and showed us ways to track the process ourselves. Very cool. The Delivery: Easy as could be. Russ and Seth Young teamed up to keep the process flowing smoothly and quickly. The Fun: Russ worked with us to show us the new 2025 features. These changes seemed complicated but by the time Russ was through, it all looked easy! We would highly recommend MINI of Charleston AND Russ to anyone who is even slightly considering a MINI. By the way, this is our 2nd JCW convertible (in addition to 2 earlier Cooper S versions) and we love it more than the 1st. They just keep getting better and better! 'Thank You' again for another fun, first class buying experience! More
Please use one of the other Euro car shops locally. Brought my car in for an oil change two issues and a full diagnostic to make sure any other issues could get knocked out early. They said they fixed Brought my car in for an oil change two issues and a full diagnostic to make sure any other issues could get knocked out early. They said they fixed the issue with the A/C, and found a leak but everything else was good now. So I paid for the oil change, diagnostic fees, a/c fix and for crank shaft seal issue they found. Please also note I spoke to the manager to confirm things before we approved this because the employee who called told me they didnt even have my car and that they didnt do my A/C recharge and a whole lot of other crazy stuff. So things should have been double checked. They called my husband at work that the car was ready for pick up, so he went straight to get it afterwork, the car had 3 miles to E and the advisor was rude and told my husband the car would have been refueled if he gave notice, not sure why he needed to give notice since they said it was ready for pick up but whatever. Which was not okay because my husband didnt even say anything when she said the car was empty on gas because hes the sweetest person and didnt even think it was an issue. She claimed we had a reserve tank but my car does not have one. Not even 2 miles away the car died in the middle of the road on that busy piece of road. They did end up towing it back but claimed they couldnt replicate the issues so I made sure I got video proof to send them before having it towed back.Which should have been another red flag to me they couldnt replicate something that happened when the car was turned on and idling. Once they got it back to relook they told me 3 things were missed because they only have one tech who work on old minis (mines a 2012 its not THAT old and back home they worked on my 06 no issue) and he didnt orginally do mine. So they let someone they knew couldnt diagnose or do my repairs do everything. Things seemed off but told them they could do the fix. My husband decided to get two second opinions beforehand. Well not only did they still miss several things but the crank shaft seal was never properly fixed and the oil change not completed both of which we paid for. We let a 3rd party complete all the repairs except the crank shaft seal because it was supposed to be under warranty. Well that warranty is only if we take it back to mini of Charleston. So we are driving 3 and half hours to a different state for another mini dealer to document everything and try to get permisson to fix it because we dont want to void our warranty but will not give mini of charleston our car ever again. They had an excuse for everything and my thinking is if they knew it couldnt be done right the first time just be honest, then giving them a chance to actually do what I paid for and they still didn't use that opportunity to make things right. Thoroughout of all this I stated multiple times we just wanted what we paid for completed and transparency, I understand bad days and was trying to give grace but they did need to earn our trust back. Yet the staff was so constantly nasty once I asked why the issues were still there and when I called because they said the car was good but it died 2 miles down the road which it had NEVER done before, etc I literally asked one of the female managers if what I was asking for was unreasonable, because I was trying to not be rude but we paid for these services and now there were new issues that weren't there when we dropped it off (not even mentioning the little things they broke/damaged which again we didnt bother mentioning because it was a cheap fix, accidents happen and there were bigger issues at hand) and they would just be nasty and give excuses, she apologized for thier behavior and said no it wasnt unreasonable, yet anytime I called for anything if it wasnt a manger they were immediatley snobby and nasty. There are two other places locally who are more thorough, with kinder staff, who specialize in MINI who actually show you what they found wrong and show More
