I found Paul tremendously (over) eager but uninterested in really listening to me. In fact I chose to wait till Paul was gone and approached Jordan who was as good at listening to me as he was at addressin in really listening to me. Jordan was patient, took a great problem solving approach, checked to see if there were any bulletins about this from Honda) there were none), had the battery checked (it was fully charged) and went as far as he possibly could. Sadly, the same problem persists, and I would request that Manly convey my complaint to the Honda representative, since I remember having read somewhere that HRVs have this computer problem, but that it can be overcome by turning everything in the car off and waiting for an unspecified period of about 30 mins , and the car will then reset and start. That’s proven to be true, but the problem persists, and my wife for whom I bought this car as a present, refuses to drive it, prefers our older CRV, but this is an unhappy outcome for which there must be a better solution, I know that if, in my work, if I come to an impasse that’s not attributable to me, the outcome is not a happy one, and sympathy or a willingness to listen is important, but only a persistent effort to keep trying to get deep enough to resolve the problem will suffice. As a university professor, I must believe that even a mysterious and random problem as this is does have a resolution, if not a solution, if enough effort and research is applied, and that is the best and only approach one can take. I believe that Honda, which runs a great, successful racing program, would come up with an answer if they were to have such a problem with one of their racing cars. Service Manager of the entire service dept is whom I am referring to. Debated on recommending. Their service dept is inept. The technician left my door seals hanging. In less than a week bring back. 10 days later I had to call. Seals never ordered. The lady ordered and advised come in next day. Arrived. Service manager intervened. Said i was not informed correctly. For all they knew it was me who loosened them. Would not replace. He claimed no idea why tech said they were warped and warranted replacing. Svc manager put the seals back in place and assured me they would never come loose again. Total xxxxxxxx. Gave me nothing but we wasted your time. More
