Everything was except there was 2 service entries and it was very confusing were to go. I got there on a Saturday at 7:30 A.M. and waited until 8:00 and I was told I was in the wrong line so I had to wait was very confusing were to go. ZERO STARS on this dealership in Pompano Beach. I have had the absolute worst dealer experience in my life from Arrigo Jeep Margate. On March 14th, 2021 my wife and I visited Arrigo Jeep Margate because w had the absolute worst dealer experience in my life from Arrigo Jeep Margate. On March 14th, 2021 my wife and I visited Arrigo Jeep Margate because we were interested in a 2015 Jeep Patriot on their lot. This particular car had been on their web inventory for a few months, and the CarFax looked clean. We had done a large amount of research into Arrigo Margate and found it was highly rated online. When we arrived, we were assisted by a salesperson named Rony. He showed us the vehicle and we inspected it to the best of our ability. We gave it a test drive and asked questions regarding its functionality. What services would be needed? What work had already been done? A specific component of the vehicle that we discussed with him was issues regarding the CVT transmission for Jeep Patriots. Rony assured us that the transmission was in good condition, and that "if anything hadn't happened up to this point with the transmission, that it wouldn't happen." Feeling reasonably satisfied with the vehicle and the terms, we made a $3,000 down payment and financed the rest for $9,309.11. At the point of financing, we were offered an extended warranty, but were told we did not have to decide at that time. He said he would reach out to us the next day, but never did. Less than 60 days after purchasing the vehicle, we noticed the Check Engine light came on. However, Arrigo Margate has an overnight drop - off service, so after filling out the drop off form and depositing the key, I left the vehicle in their care. Within the next few days, we received a phone call informing us that the Patriot needed a brand new transmission, estimated at $7,000 (before taxes and fees). We were absolutely shocked, considering how recently we were sold the car, and that we had been assured the transmission was fine. That evening we went back to the dealership and spoke to a sales manager. He said he wanted to help us any way he could. Unfortunately, his idea of helping us was to buy the car back for a mere $2,000 – over a $10,000 loss for us in less than 60 days. We asked for a discount on the new transmission (thinking this to be reasonable) but he said nothing could be offered. Another way he offered to help us was for his service department to make a “temporary fix” to conceal the issue so we could sell the car to Carmax – which we declined considering it was completely unethical. As a side note, we suspect this was exactly what they did before selling us the car. This kind of unethical practice affirms our belief that the vehicle was in need of a new transmission when they sold us the car, completely taking advantage of us. He also suggested we default on the loan and have the car repossessed. He clearly had no regard for our financial well-being, but tirelessly protected the dealership’s interests at all costs. This was when we were told that Arrigo Margate would not release the Patriot until a surprise $200 diagnostic fee was paid. It’s extremely important to note that when I dropped off the vehicle with the dropoff form, I selected to be notified before service was performed if it were to exceed $100. The dealership completely disregarded my selection, and performed the $200 scan on the transmission without my consent. It was only when I tried to take the car that I was told they wouldn’t release it until I paid the bill. When I asked to see the dropoff form with my selection, I was told they “lost it”. Considering the situation, we asked if the fee could be forgiven, but we were repeatedly told no. Feeling no other options were left, we paid the $200. John, the Service Manager, greed to refund $75.00 via check for the situation – and promised it would arrive in two weeks. (It is now June 21 and I have still not received this check, even after speaking with John multiple times.) We will be taking legal action immediately. More

KC Clark was our sales person and he was sharp, knowledgeable and so caring. He really took time to walk me thru all of the details and he was attentive to my needs the entire time. I knew exactly what was being done at each stage of the process and felt so comfortable making such a large purchase and buying decision. Now after making the deal, I know I walked away with an amazing value package, the car of my dreams and a relationship with Arrigo Margate family!
