When it comes to tire repairs, we strictly follow safety guidelines set by both Toyota and tire manufacturers. These guidelines are in place to ensure our customers stay safe on the road, and in some cases, they may be more conservative than those followed by other tire shops. If a puncture is determined to be too close to the sidewall, even if it appears more central, our technicians are instructed not to perform a repair in order to avoid the risk of tire failure. We understand how frustrating this can feel, especially when it results in an unexpected recommendation for tire replacement.
