A fantastic exsperience My wife and I were shopping for a car to replace out totaled 2016 Prius V. We headed to Vestal to check out Matthews as they sell a few of the brands that we wanted to try out. We had a great experience with a sales rep at their Mitsubishi / VW dealership even though I didn’t fit into most of the cars we looked at. The salesman we were working with recommended we check out their Kia / Subaru store and called ahead for us. Upon arriving we were immediately greeted by Brian Chadwick and I’m happy to say everything worked out great. I explained what we were looking for and he took us to a bunch of vehicles so we could see how I fit into them. Eventually we test drove a 2020 Subaru Outback even though it wasn’t on our list and we loved it. We went back in and did the preliminary paperwork which was painless. There was no pushiness around the optional extras that they offered. Most importantly the price was very fair without having to do any kind of haggling. When all that we could do with Brian was finished for that evening we were passed onto one of the finance people who was also very nice, and again this was completely straight forward. No backroom sales pitches or any other junk that we’ve run into before. We came back the following Thursday to finish all the paperwork and take delivery of out new Outback. The process was very relaxed and if I can be honest, we left without feeling like we’d gone through what I’d call a normal car buying process. This was so far removed from any experience we’ve had in the past, we will definitely be coming back here the next time we need a replacement vehicle. If you’re looking for a car, I’d recommend the trip to Vestal to check them out and I definitely recommend working with Brian Chadwick. More

My experience at matthews auto was absolutely horrible they destroyed the excitement for me buying my first new car / car I always wanted..I special ordered a 2014 wrx it was almost a full week late but that was a minor inconvenience Compared to what would be to come Once the car was finally delivered to the dealership I went to pick it up and the undercoating I payed $975 for was not done so we planned to have it done at the 1000 mile inspection so I hoped in my new car ready to pull out of the lot for the very first time and the front wheel was frozen solid they called their technician out to high rev. Me new car and drop the clutch several times to break it free now I'm on my way reluctantly.. driving off the lot then the xxxx really hit the fan with only 1789 miles on the car the motor blew up leaving me and a group of friends stranded on the shoulder of the pa turn pike .. I with out hesitation I called subaru road side assistance they assured me they were coming but we waited 5.5 hours no one ever came until I called a tow truck myself and paided out of pocket the next morning I called matthews subarus arrogant sales staff and they laughed and giggled me off the phone just a terrible business if there is anything I could do to keep people from using these clowns that's what I'll do!!!
