My wife and I have been considering moving to an EV and felt we should consider leasing (for the first time ever) because (1) the EV-related technology is changing so quickly, and (2) the leasing incentive felt we should consider leasing (for the first time ever) because (1) the EV-related technology is changing so quickly, and (2) the leasing incentives are very good right now. Cutting to the chase, recently leased a C40 Recharge from McDonald. Everyone that we dealt with was 1st class! I want to call out our excellent experience with Samantha Odenthal, the salesperson we whom we spent our time. She was extremely knowledgeable about the technical aspects of the car we were most interested in, the XC40 Recharge, and Volvos in general. We worked up some leasing costs and there was zero pressure. We later visited another EV dealer after our initial McDonald Volvo visit and our experience could not have been more different. Samantha and Rob Molyneaux followed up later in the day with some text messages which ultimately ended up with Rob mentioning a C40 Recharge (that was in the showroom) that had even better leasing incentives, and supplying the details via text message. We expressed our serious interest (while texting) and returned the next morning. We took the C40 out for a drive with Samantha, and decided to do the lease. The finance person, Matt Daniel, was just as professional and personal as everyone else. Zion, who wrapped everything up was superb also. Overall our McDonald Volvo experience from start to end was excellent! More
My 2022 Volvo passenger seat got burnt down to the wires/foam due to an electrical fire caused by my Nikon camera plastic melt down. I was very concerned about the passenger seat catching fire when I wires/foam due to an electrical fire caused by my Nikon camera plastic melt down. I was very concerned about the passenger seat catching fire when I had a lot of other plastic things around which stayed intact and just had some black soot layer. The car was towed seven days ago to the dealership. UnfortU at Ely, I have not received a single phone call from Management nor the service department with reference to the car. They also refused to help me with a rental car and are being totally dismissive about the fact that the man made material burnt down with just 85 degrees temperature outside More
Polite service team and motivated to do quality work for their customers. I had an issue with some interior work done incorrectly. I recently purchased a new 2023 Volvo XC40 from McDonald Volvo. The experience could have been so much better. As a loyal Volvo customer, I expect honest and transparent communication from a dealership. A Volvo. The experience could have been so much better. As a loyal Volvo customer, I expect honest and transparent communication from a dealership. At every turn, the falsehoods are unethical and violate my trust as a customer. I overheard false statements from other sales associates to customers while purchasing my vehicle. Additionally, ignoring my emails and phone calls is unprofessional and demonstrates a lack of consideration for my time and needs. Micah Owens, Robert Molyneaux, and Bob Sealey completely ignored my emails, in-person requests, and phone calls for a call-back. My negative experience with McDonald Volvo during in-person meetings is also concerning. The paperwork and pressure during financing are uncalled for. When questions arose from the Credit Union assigned to my loan, neither Chad Socha nor Ryan Vanyi would answer the credit union's questions or mine. A good dealership should prioritize customer satisfaction and work to create a comfortable and welcoming atmosphere. Overall, McDonald Volvo Cars failed to provide me with satisfactory customer service. During this ordeal, I learned that car dealerships are protected by state laws in Colorado. Until these laws are repealed, purchasing vehicles in Colorado will continue to be an unpleasant experience. My original review was removed because I linked to the government website. I used a text editor and made sure no links were provided for this review. More

McDonald sold a car to someone else that I had a pending deal on. 12/28/2023 I told sales person I wanted the car and that I would be there the next day but I would be pressed for time due to an appoint deal on. 12/28/2023 I told sales person I wanted the car and that I would be there the next day but I would be pressed for time due to an appointment. 12/29/2023 I called sales person from the airport to tell her I was on my way. I went to the store and did the paperwork with sales person. She told me a finance person would be with me to finish more paperwork. I waited more than 30 minutes and no one came to help nor was there anyone available to talk to. Just customers staring at each other also looking for answers. I tried to call the store from within the store. No one answered. I could hear the phone 10 feet ringing incessantly with other people trying to contact the dealership. I called the store again and left a message with sales person to let her know that I’d been forgotten in the lobby and to call me to finish things up. She called more than 30 minutes later at which point I was on my way to my appointment. I told the sales person that I wanted the car still. She agreed to fed ex me the paperwork if docusign didn’t work. I went ahead and also had the car insured. 12/30/2023 I called the dealership in the morning and again no one answered. I emailed the sales person at 11:10 to find out what was going on. At 11:23, another sales person emailed me and confirmed the deal on the car and offered to fed ex the documents At 1:03, I emailed both sales peoples to express my sympathies for the troubles the dealership was having (the dealership was obviously understaffed and several customers were upset) and to let me know what the next steps were along with giving my mailing address for the fed ex. At 2:11, salesperson emailed me to tell me he had sold the car earlier that day. Sales person then suggest that it was my fault for not responding faster than 1 hour and 40 minutes to his email which was a confirmation of something I had already told him twice. This when they couldn’t answer there phone, return emails, or even have someone in there lobby to help me. He then cited Colorado law that it wasn't a closed deal so he could sell the car to someone else during my buying of it. I'm sure he's right but that's the standard they work by? If its not illegal, it must be ok? Just not a well put together organization with inexperienced or uncaring staff. I'll hopefully still get a volvo but am now scared of the service that may come with it if volvo isn't watching over its dealerships. I'm going to reach out to Volvo as well to see they can't reclaim some dignity for their brand. I'll update and hopefully have positive things to say about Volvo Corp. More
