McGovern not only went the extra mile to get us the Rav4 Hybrid we wanted, but provided a far better experience than 3 other dealerships we had gone to during our search Hybrid we wanted, but provided a far better experience than 3 other dealerships we had gone to during our search More

I recently brought my 2025 Toyota Tundra 1794 Edition in for its first oil change and tire rotation at McGovern Toyota of Portsmouth, and the service was excellent. The dealership was dealing with a full in for its first oil change and tire rotation at McGovern Toyota of Portsmouth, and the service was excellent. The dealership was dealing with a full internet outage, and I couldn’t get through at first, but Brad personally called me back and connected me with Sarah, a phenomenal Toyota Service Advisor, which made the experience smooth and enjoyable. Sarah immediately stepped in and handled everything despite the chaos of the day. She kept things organized, made sure my truck was taken care of, and stayed calm and professional throughout. After a day like that, she absolutely deserves to be recognized — and in my opinion, deserves a raise or serious consideration for a promotion. Brad also continues to be incredibly helpful. He picked out the perfect truck for me, always answers my questions quickly, and follows through every time. Outstanding customer service all around. Thank you to Sarah, Brad, and the entire McGovern Toyota team. — Kyle More

Hi Jacob, I am extremely disappointed with McGovern Toyota Portsminth. I recently purchased a KIA Forte and received excellent service from Steve in the sales department. After 2 days, the rear seatbel Toyota Portsminth. I recently purchased a KIA Forte and received excellent service from Steve in the sales department. After 2 days, the rear seatbelt simply locked when my son first used it. This problem with the rear seatbelt caused the car to fail the sticker inspection in the state of Massachusetts. Since the car is under a 30-day warranty and has less than 1250 miles, I contacted McGovern to resolve the issue, and they simply told me that I damaged the seatbelt and that I have to wait 30 days to use the extended warranty I purchased. This is absurd because there was certainly a problem with the seatbelt that was detected after I picked up the car from the dealership, and now they claim that a nine-year-old child damaged the seatbelt, which is an item that must function regardless of use. In Massachusetts, you have a 7-day deadline to get the sticker inspection, so I am prevented from using the car for my work. This is the greatest disrespect to the consumer, and the 30-day or 1250-day guarantee that is legally guaranteed to the consumer is not being respected. More
This was my first time taking my car to this particular Toyota dealership - for state inspection and an issue with the heat. I was not happy at all with my experience. After waiting at the dealership, I Toyota dealership - for state inspection and an issue with the heat. I was not happy at all with my experience. After waiting at the dealership, I received an impersonal email and a text with a link. Clicking on the link brought me to a page saying there was an issue with my car (completely unrelated to the heat). I am not sure why the service advisor couldn't come and explain that to me - the dealership didn't seem busy. I was charged for them to diagnose the problem only for them to tell me there was nothing wrong. I don't feel that my concerns were fully addressed (as the issue I went to the dealership still seems to be ongoing). The explanation they gave me for the issue didn't make sense. I have been considering purchasing a new vehicle. I will not be going back to any McGovern dealerships in the future (for service or for a purchase). More
