I recently visited McGovern Toyota for service. I asked to speak with the Service Director because of a problem I discovered in the engine compartment. A very cordial young man (John Lightbown) i I asked to speak with the Service Director because of a problem I discovered in the engine compartment. A very cordial young man (John Lightbown) introduced himself & I explained the problem; I had found 4 plastic clips missing from the plastic cover over the battery and grille area. The more I explained it, the more upset I got! John patiently waited until I finished and then explained that sometimes these clips come loose and fall off. At that point I was a lot calmer & embarrassed as I had ASSUMED it was their fault. He assured me that they would replace them at no cost while my RAV4 was having its regular service. I then realized that I had acted very impatiently and ASSUMED making an xxx of myself! I must also tell you that they found 2 more clips missing & again replaced them at no charge. It seems to me that we all seem more impatient these days and forget how to have a calm discussion (as did John.) I have been a Portsmouth Toyota (now McGovern Toyota) customer) since the 1990's when I owned a 1997 Jeep Grand Cherokee. I always experienced great service nice friendly people. Next time you visit McGovern Toyota & your in the waiting area, listen to McGovern's employees as they talk to other customers in the waiting area. Very professional people! More
