This dealership is incredibly rude and unprofessional. Not only have they treated us as “cheap” due to having a pre-owned, when we ordered a wheel lock, they called to say it was in and then told us it wa Not only have they treated us as “cheap” due to having a pre-owned, when we ordered a wheel lock, they called to say it was in and then told us it wasn’t. They then proceed to say “no calls have been made”. After calling back, they then say they found the order which was linked to OUR account WITH the same VIN... after the tow truck that came to grab our vehicle left. Completely unacceptable. Nothing but lack of communication as well. PLEASE head to a different dealership! More

Yikes! Was charged $70 to replace a backup light. Didn’t think I would need a quote on that service but lesson learned, that was my first service there and will be my last. think I would need a quote on that service but lesson learned, that was my first service there and will be my last. More

Timing chain slipped while they were servicing my car My 2014 BMW X3 went in for an alternator replacement, while there they failed to diagnose a loose timing belt, which was not noticeable at the time I My 2014 BMW X3 went in for an alternator replacement, while there they failed to diagnose a loose timing belt, which was not noticeable at the time I dropped the car off, but was as I was pulling out of the repair shop. Was encouraged to spend $2,400 to replace the timing chain and oil pump by my service representative (over the expressed recommendation of the tech). After doing the repair the car it was determined that the engine was nocking and that I would have to spend another $12,000 to replace the engine. They refused to refund the original repair. I ended up purchasing a different car, but it took three weeks of negotiating with the dealership, service, and BMW to get down to a satisfactory price. And even though I was spending over $30K on a new car they still made me pay for a part that didn't fix the car. My salesman did good work and probably helped me negotiate through a bureaucratic nightmare, but it was only my persistence that made a price palatable. Overall my experience was a disappointment and one that I will not be repeating at Elmhurst BMW again. More
