I bought a 2017 Dodge Journey (sight unseen) on August 27, 2022 from McLarty Nissan in NLR. My ONLY request was a reliable SUV. I am a single mom of several kids, including one who is disabled. The fact that there were cigarette burns all over the vehicle and that the front seats were badly worn didn't matter as long as it was dependable. After 3 1/2 weeks it broke down. I have not had a vehicle in 8 days. I have no way to get my kids to school or therapy appointments. I have emailed managers MULTIPLE times, but I have not received ANY response. Ive called the service department and told the guy assigned to "my" vehicle was off that day. The sales woman, Heather told me Friday that she would text me "first thing in the morning" about my vehicle as soon as she could find out something. I texted her twice Saturday. It is now Thursday. Today Daniel from the service department called to tell me I can come pick up the vehicle that had to be towed in. I wish I had access to a vehicle so I could drive somewhere!! I have begged the management via email to allow me to cancel this contract so I can buy a decent vehicle. I'm going to assume that their refusal to acknowledge my emails means that they refuse to do so. I have contacted the finance company to inform them of the situation. They (Santander) were extremely apologetic and had hopes of this dealership doing the ethical thing and voiding the contract. They put notes on the account "just in case". I asked for decency, not special treatment. I will warn everyone about my horrible experience with this company. More
