Courteous, clean customer friendly, First visit good. I received a Mercedes Re-call letter about a possible issue with the "seal" of the sunroof. Service manager said it was checked out and no problem. T I received a Mercedes Re-call letter about a possible issue with the "seal" of the sunroof. Service manager said it was checked out and no problem. Tgey even washed the outside of my car. How nice and unexpected. Unfortunately, 2nd visit huge disappointment. I brought my car back because the sunroof wouldn't close after I had opened it and loud/grinding/clicking noise. I believe the service dept accidently broke my sunroof on the 1st visit but didn't disclose the mistake. 2nd visit the service dept told me just a coincidence, that sunroof gears simply just stop working. Told me can't be repaired, don't make them anymore, the inside cover can never be closed again, dealer warned me to NEVER ever try to use the control button, never try to open sunroof again, glass will break and shatter. I didn't touch the sunroof between the first time I left the dealership for 2 weeks. Then one morning I touched the sunroof control to open it, and thuscthe loud grinding noise. The sunroof opened but would not close. So I made that 2nd appt, took it in and the service manager told me it's irreparable, dept managed to get it closed but not the inside cover that keeps the sun out. Now I must deal with the sun shining straight down in to my car. Before I received the recall letter, I had never had any problem with the sunroof. I wish I had never taken my Mercedes in for the recall letter issue. This sunroof condition will affect resell value should I ever try to sell my car. More
