This week I called on the Service Department at Mercedes-Benz of South Austin to diagnose a fix a problem with my Sprinter Van. The diesel engine was overheating in traffic with frequent stops. Unfortunately this dealership is NOT to be trusted! I purchased a preowned Mercedes S class from MB of S Austin and was completely screwed over, knowingly by this dealer. This was an out of state purch I purchased a preowned Mercedes S class from MB of S Austin and was completely screwed over, knowingly by this dealer. This was an out of state purchase and upon seeing the vehicle for the first time, something was off and I should have gone with my instinct, but instead was reassured they would assist in making needed repairs. Well, fast forward only to find out the minor issue was actually much more than they made it to be. I have been contacting them to go over the findings and have basically been ghosted by the dealership, unable to speak to neither the sales manager Mike Lopez, nor the store manager Lee Tinoco, even though the sales agreement stipulates they would assist! It is obvious now that what I discovered was in fact hidden by this dealership and a very known issue. I am now left with a vehicle which clearly was in an accident and not disclosed as it should have been. So everyone be aware, they sell damaged vehicles that have been in accidents and repaired poorly under the false pretense that they are accident free! Very sad that a large corporation purposely deceives customers to line their pockets. Unethical and shameful. More
