I had gone down there once to look at a car in which everything seemed to be going smoothly. I then proceeded to ask the dealer to give me EVERYTHING I will be paying so I can get the proper amount for everything seemed to be going smoothly. I went back down with the intention to buy the car and when we went to start the buying process with the owner he added roughly $3000 dollars to the price. I immediately showed him the hard copy of the purchase order with everything there and he claimed it was a “One day pricing for the car.” I responded by saying that I told salesman the day and time that I was gonna come in which the manager said “The salesman don’t know what they are doing.” I then proceeded to show him the current price of the vehicle on the website where it was at $41,966. He responded to that by saying the “website controls the when they update the price.” At this point he had shot down two ways of proof I had to show for the price of the car. The manager told us “If you can’t pay the price I just gave you then it’s not worth talking anymore” so naturally I left. NOT 3 MINUTES after leaving they had updated the price of the car on the website. The manager then proceeded to call me about 20 minutes into my drive home and say he could work with the price we mentioned. I responded with him by quoting what he said so me when we were there about the negotiation and proceeded to hang up on him. I refused to do business with someone who lied to me and treated me so poorly. He immediately called me back and yelled at me for hanging up on him which I got some enjoyment out of since they lied to me after driving 2 hours to get there. More
Very poor customer service experience. Called to inquiry about a vehicle due to being approved for a certain amount through my bank. I am very disappointed in the customer service that i received and the manner on how they handled the situation this is not my last stop for this escalation I will also be reporting to the BBB because it’s unacceptable to treat customers in that manner! Second time buying from them. Walt was great both times and Big Al(don’t be fooled by the name lol) who helped this time;was great also. Drove up to Towson to deliver car without complaint! This auto dealer is the epitome of dishonest used car sales. Don't buy a car from here. They have a dealer upcharge of $3,000 dollars on top of any sales price you see on their website. We looked at a 2017 Lexus IS for $22,966 and when we went to buy it, one of the managers, Marco, said it was $3K more. They charge $1,000 for documentation, $1,000 for processing, and $1,000 for reconditioning the vehicle. On top of that, they have some hidden charges which brought the vehicle up to $28,000. When we asked for a breakout, they wouldn't provide the itemized costs. We dealt with the salesman, Big Al, and he was more concerned with other things instead of helping us. He showed the vehicle well but when he passed us off to the manager, Marco, it all went downhill from there. Even after calling them out on their own numbers changes on their website where it was only $499 for one of the charges, they refused to take phone calls. We called the manager back three times and left messages and he never called back. Don't buy a vehicle from this dealer. It won't be an honest transaction and you'll regret it. More

Dishonest, Con-men doing the stereotypical car salesman bait and switch. And a terrible attempt at it. Claim a car is 1 owner, no accidents when Carfax shows multiple collisions and 3 owners. Advertise as a competitive price then stuff it with $3k worth of made-up doc/dealer fees with the hopes an inexperienced car purchaser will fall for the scam. Shipping price from their “guy” will be 2x market rate if you want it shipped. If you’d like to add insult to injury, try hopping on the phone with these little men and watch your IQ level fall by the minute. Move on to another dealer and let these guys continue to live the low, broke life. More
Please don’t not buy a car from this place or their other location called Global Auto located in Md where we original bought truck from, but for some reason they sent our paperwork to Merlex Auto. So, in less then 7 days the transmission went out on the truck. They refuse to fix the problem nor take the truck back because we went over 1,000 miles. How can they not disclose major transmission problems which cost us 4,800 after warranty coverage. We called multiple times a day to get someone to help us for over a week to force them to enter & submit our warranty information to PennWarranty. After a week of no action from Merlex and daily calls with the warranty company to confirm if they got anything from Merlex, we were forced to call the bank to tell them we are turning back the car and taking a major financial lost and walking away because they refuse to enter our warranty into the system. It was that call with the bank that forced Merlex to take action. Also I wanted mention, the price listed online was not the price we paid and finance for. We were charged 600 more! They refuse to correct over charging us! No one should ever have to go through this. As for the reviews, we thought we were purchasing the car from Global Auto which had great reviews. In hindsight, we wished we had saw the reviews about Merlex. So that no one will ever have to go through what we went through, we are reporting Merlex to the State Of VA AG office which I sure others have done before. How many complaints will it take for the state to investigate this fraud. More
