This is the worst experience I've ever had buying a car! They are HORRIBLE!" AVOID THIS DEALERSHIP. Any and all they promised is not true. All cars are as is. Absolutely no warranty on anything, even if you spend 50k on a vehicle, you are on your own. They don't want you to read the paperwork before you sign it. Best friends until you drive out of the lot, then you will get hung up on , verbally mistreated, potentially threatened, intimidation tactics and god knows what else. I have no idea how do they stay in business with such a bad reputation. At this rate, its only a matter of time before they get sued and shut down. Advise to management ; YOU NEED A COMPLETE MANAGEMENT OVERHAUL. Salesmen need training in USA customer relations. If this is a Family own business, the HEAD OF THE FAMILY need to get involved ASAP. *Do NOT ignore a bad review. That review won't be going away any time soon. It will be seen by countless consumers researching dealerships in your area. Lack of response signals a disregard for customer care. *Speak to your employee(s) that dealt with the customer. Determine what may have caused this customer to walk away less than satisfied. *If possible, use the opportunity to re-open communication with the consumer. Devise a calm response that addresses all of customer's complaints. If there were mistakes made, acknowledge them. *Don't berate the customer for omitting information or being less than truthful. Essentially, if they have tossed insults, don't return them in kind. Turn the other cheek and respond with any information you feel is pertinent in a calm, respectful manner. Negative dealership reviews give positive reviews credibility. And your dealership's thoughtful response to both good and bad reviews will demonstrate that your business cares for its customers, even when they aren't easy to please. More
Worst Auto purchase ever! Stay away from this dealer... Me and my husband saw a BMW we thought was a good fit for me on CarGurus app. So we got on the highway and I test drove a 2006 BMW 760 LI on June 31,2016. The car drove fine that day. But I should have known something was up with the vehicle because it was not displayed on the lot. They claimed they just purchased the car so why not have it on the lot. Instead it was in a parking garage across the street from the dealer. Anyway at that time the car drove fine, so I thought. The next day me and my husband came back to purchase the car, July 1, 2016. We live 2 hours away from Merlex Auto Group but took the time both days back to back to get this BMW 760 LI, we thought was a good car. So we do the paperwork and while we doing the paperwork the Lot attendant and the Saleswoman take the car to get gas. We had finished the long process of purchasing a vehicle, signing several pieces of paper, before they even got back. Which was strange. The gas station they said was right up the street. But it took them what seemed like forever. Then when they do come back I proceeded to go get in car to leave to go home, thinking everything is ok. But before I could get in car, the saleswoman insisted that I write a review about my experience with her before I leave. It felt weird because of how persistent she was about it. I told her I do write reviews and I would soon as I got home. So I proceeded to get in the vehicle to follow my husband back home, which is 2 hours away, I remind you. As soon as I drive off the lot and turn the corner, the car jumps and the transmission check light comes on. I have to call my husband and tell him to pull over just a block away from Merlex Auto Group, the dealer I brought the vehicle from, and just 5 minutes from leaving the lot. So understandably, we are both very upset and turn around and go back to Merlex Auto Group to talk to Walter, the manager. Well he refused to talk to us stating he was eating lunch and did not want to be interrupted. But we just brought this car from you less than 10 minutes ago and its having transmission problems already. And nobody else at Merlex Auto Group would talk to us. The saleswoman was upset. She said she don't do business like that and said she was quitting. Which I found out months later that she did quit the week after they sold me that lemon. Anyway so my husband drives the car back to our city, 2 hours away and I follow him. We drove it straight to our local BMW dealership. They looked at it, did a diagnostic test on it and told us that the transmission was bad and needed replacing. We just brought this car. We do have a warranty but the warranty company would not fix it cause they consider it to be a preexisting condition, even though we did not know of the transmission problem when we purchased the vehicle. This vehicle is gonna cost $8,000 to get fixed according to BMW dealership. Money I should not be putting in a vehicle I had just purchased. Several calls were attempted and made to Merlex Auto Group over the pass months but they refused to talk to me, my husband or my Loan officer at my bank until maybe a few weeks ago when my Loan officer tried again to call. They gave him the run around. I have not driven that car but once. The car has been sitting, parked every since July 5 , 2016 after leaving the BMW dealership. It does not move due to the faulty transmission. So now I'm stuck paying a car note, insurance and personal property taxes for a car that doesn't run. I'm trying to warn all future customers to stay away from Merlex Auto Group. More
