Everything was great, UNTIL i took my '15 Escalade to get it inspected. I live in the state of Maryland and have to get a state inspection done there. The dealership informed me that it passed Virginia inspection and has the sticker in the window. They also assured me that it would pass MD inspection, so i shouldn't have any issues obtaining my hard tags, as they are getting them for me. Needless to say, It failed Maryland inspection due to poor shocks. I contacted the dealership and spoke to Ray to let them know and they basically told me its nothing they can do. It hasn't even been 3 weeks since i had the car. The shocks are $615.00 per shock for the rear. I think that it's ridiculous to just had put $10k as a down payment and now have to come out the pockets more in less than 3 weeks for a problem that was already there. Even more frustrating, tonight I'm driving to work and the check engine light starts flashing and the truck started shaking really bad. I cut the truck off and restarted it. The engine light remained on and the shaking still exists. Again, i just purchased this truck less than 3 weeks ago. I'll be calling in the morning to see how this can get resolved. I don't want to put a bad review on them because i had a pleasant experience buying the car, aside from not getting my paperwork before i left the dealership in my "new to me" truck. I'll be more than happy to give 5 stars if they make this right! UPDATE** So Walter reached out to me to basically ask me to delete this negative post to encourage management to help pay for the repair bill. They promised to pay most of the said to be $5400 repair bill. I would be responsible for $2000 of it. I have not received or seen a copy of an invoice of the repairs. He sent my vehicle to one shop and the shop informed me that it would cost about $1700 to fix. I would be responsible for $1200 of that. I had an issue with that because i only had the vehicle a little over 2 weeks. I felt they should pay for the entire repair. After a few days, I called to check the status of my vehicle, the shop owner told me Walter had the vehicle moved to another repair facility. German Auto Group in Springfield, VA. I called Walter to see what was going on and he told me he wanted a master technician to look at it to make sure that the only problem was what the first shop stated. i called German Auto Group and spoke with them to verify my vehicle was there, and what the issue was. It was the lifters in my engine. Walter told me it would cost $5400 for the repairs, and they would cover all but the $2000 i had to pay. Note, at this time it's been almost a month I've been without my vehicle. I dropped the shocks off to them so they can install them, since they had the vehicle for so long. After going back and forth with Walter, he agreed to pay for the installation of the shocks. After the repairs were made, Walter made arrangements to have my vehicle bought back to Merlex where I can pick it up and bring the $2000. I wanted to make sure i had documentation of the repairs, so I call German Auto Group to get a copy of the invoice of the detailed repairs. They informed me that the total bill was $2600 roughly. I asked for a detailed invoice, and they (German Auto Group) told me I had to speak with Walter and they did not want to get in the middle of our discrepancy. I informed them that I was the owner of the vehicle they worked and i had a right to the invoice. They said well Merlex paid, and they have the invoice. They are both working together to take advantage of people and their hard-earned money. i had to pay the $2000 to get my car back from them, with no validity of charges. There is a major discrepancy in price. The shop tells me $2600, and Walter tells me $5400. So in a nutshell, I paid for my own repairs, but Walter is making it seem like he was helping me when in reality he was scamming. To this day, i still haven't seen an invoice of repairs, nor do I have the Purchase Order to my vehicle. He told me weeks ago it was in the mail. Go on BBB and read the reviews. Terrible! More
I was interested in a specific car. One person told me it was available. Then another told me it was getting inspected. Then when I called again, he wasn't sure if the car was sold or not. Then later the same day the person said it was getting inspected and they'd reach out Monday. I had to reach out to them. No answer. Then I was told the car needed too much work and wasn't going to be sold. Based on getting 5 different stories before, I called and asked to speak to a sales manager. The manager then said it was unavailable. Then said it needed too much work. Then said Corporate decides if it goes out on the lot or not. Then said it was going overseas. Then said it sold and I missed out. Then said it needed too much work again. Then said they just flat out wouldn't sell to me and even if, their fees were $5,000.00 in addition to the sales price and applicable taxes. Overall, NO ONE had a clue what was going on with the car. I spoke with 4 different people. NO ONE was courteous or knew their inventory or even tried to act like they did. They were constantly confused on which car. Then just flat out lied and told me they wouldn't even sell me the car in the end. And $5,000.00 in fees is ridiculous and unheard of!... If that's even true based on the rest of the lies and confusion I was told. More
I expressed interst in the car. Got an email from a salesman. I called the salesman and was told that he was test-driving with a customer. I left him a message. He did not call back. I found that the car was sold, The salesman I called in the morning did not bother to call me back to let me know. More
I Came here for the 2015 Porsche Cayenne it was a beautiful experience, very smooth I was in & out with my car washed and gassed up ready for me to take it. I travel 1,229 miles to test drive a car that was not on the lot when I got there. I had to go home not even seeing the car . I request info online and Grace contacted me to confirm that the car is available(live in NC), I called and Spoke with Mike to get more details info. he was very evasive with all my questions. after the ca that the car is available(live in NC), I called and Spoke with Mike to get more details info. he was very evasive with all my questions. after the call, I txt to request the final price with fees & tax included ( so I can finance with my bank). he promised to send but I have to provide a copy of my drive license which was not a big deal. then I received a txt from Grace who informed me that the car is no longer available and sold. then Mike call me to request the driver license. I asked him if the car still available since Grace just txt me it was sold. Mike get upset and confirm that the Car still available and hung up the phone. (They might have good selection or great prices not sure but the customer service is no good, I will go some where else). after reading others comment, make me wonder if they are even serious. Just stay away. More
