Terrible dealership to buy from My wife and I went here to get two new vehicles and turn in our leases. There was some damage to my truck and I was way over miles so I decided that I My wife and I went here to get two new vehicles and turn in our leases. There was some damage to my truck and I was way over miles so I decided that I was going to just buy it and my wife was going to get into a new lease. The price that he came back with for a new lease for my wife was way over what we thought it should be, so she decided that we were going to shop around to find a better deal. This should have been my clue to leave but I was still going to buy my truck so I went through the process to buy it. After waiting what seemed like forever he came back with a payment that was almost a $100 more a month that what he had originally said. He kept going back and forth to the finance manager playing "the game". I asked him how the payment could be so high when i have excellent credit. I couldn't get a straight answer. Finally spoke to the finance manger myself and he said he could get it $25 less a month. Then I said to him that I should be getting a way better rate than what he was giving me. I asked him what my credit came back with and he wouldn't say because "he hadn't run my credit" Really? I told them i had to make a few calls and went to my truck to stay warm. The salesman runs out to my truck, I assume because I thought I was leaving, and lo and behold, my payment mysteriously went down close to what he originally stated at the beginning. I went back in just so I could hear his reason why it went down and came up with some garbage about trying another bank. I told him that he was playing games with me and an honest salesman and finance manager would have been trying to help me out not take advantage of me. I understand that they want to make some money on my financing but they were trying to rake me over the coals by increasing my financing rates so they could make $7200 more than at a normal interest rate. Stay away from this dealership!!! More

Buyer Beware I recently went to Michael Bates Chevrolet in Woodhaven to try to buy an SUV. I was ready to sign the papers and noticed they had added all of these I recently went to Michael Bates Chevrolet in Woodhaven to try to buy an SUV. I was ready to sign the papers and noticed they had added all of these additional warranties without permission, after asking them to remove them several times (5 hour process total) and them pretending to fix it only to add new unnecessary fees the sales manager Bob Kapp came out super condescendingly telling me that I didn’t understand basic math and insinuating that I needed the extra protection, that I already declined, and wheel locks ($400) they tried to scam me with, he stated that because I live in Wyandotte and it’s a shady town I would need them. The sad thing is I just wanted the car, had they not tried to be shady and just fixed the contract Bob Kapp could have saved the deal but he came out like an absolute jerk and was beyond rude. I wasted 5 hours because this dealership likes to wear you down by making you wait forever and then you are too tired to bother looking at the contract. Definitely not someone to give your business to. More

Too busy for me 6-25-19 2:30 pm I stopped in to check on leasing a new Chevrolet Silverado Crew Cab, and possibly the purchase of a large SUV (CPO) such as a 6-25-19 2:30 pm I stopped in to check on leasing a new Chevrolet Silverado Crew Cab, and possibly the purchase of a large SUV (CPO) such as a Traverse LT. . I came into the showroom, while salespeople were swapping jokes,....checked out the Driver door opening of both the the Showroom models of Traverse and New Blazer to see if I could get 6'4" frame thru it easily,....but with no batteries in either vehicle, I couldn't adjust the seat down or back, to suit my needs. As I was leaving out the door, I was finally acknowledged. As a retired Professional Salesperson, I was totally disappointed in how I was ignored ( possibly others ? ). Mr. Bates should consider spending more time in the showroom. Hank Hajduk More
