A great buying experience at Castle Ford On a rainy day in late October 2017, I called Castle Ford to determine if a particular used car my wife and I were interested in was available, It On a rainy day in late October 2017, I called Castle Ford to determine if a particular used car my wife and I were interested in was available, It was; subsequently we drove from St. Joseph, Michigan to Michigan City, Indiana in a pouring rain to see the car and take a test drive. Our sales representative, Matt Brown, could not have been more helpful in assisting us in preparing the car and answering any questions we had. After we decided to buy the car the sales manager, finance manager and Matt were more than accommodating despite the failure of their entire computer system, probably caused by the rotten weather we'd had for two days. Matt even caught an error made in calculating the required sales tax as there is a 1% difference between Michigan and Indiana sales tax. Because they could not complete all the required paperwork, they advised us that we could take the car overnight and return with it the next day to complete all the required finance, insurance and other required paperwork. The technicians got the car all ready to go, which included changing license tags and making sure everything was ready. I'm not sure any other dealer would have been so accommodating. The next day the rotten weather continued, Even so, we again drove from St. Joseph, Michigan to Michigan City, Indiana to complete the purchase of the car. The finalization of the deal went so smoothly with the sales manager, and he in turn answered some additional questions we had. All in all (even with the rotten weather) we had a great experience with Castle Ford. I would certainly recommend them to anyone, which I subsequently did to our insurance agent, and would buy from them again if and when my wife and I need another car. With the car purchase comes two free oil changes a year for life and a free car wash – now what could be better? More

I was pre-qualified which should have made my car buying experience easier. I was visiting dealerships and my credit was constantly being ran over and over again. Prior dealerships continued to either under-appraise my trade in or put me in a lower model 2017 vehicle. I wanted the Lincoln MKC, their luxury SUV Reserve model. I was just about to throw in the towel and decided to travel an hour to Michigan City one last time (this would be my last dealership visit either way). I'm so glad I did, my salesman Chris Bellamy was great and the dealership service was SUPERB! I shared my previous car shopping experience with Chris and he was intentional on being up front and honest with me and never once tried to force me in a vehicle I didn't want. He showed me Buyer's Order and cost breakdown upfront which enabled me to make the best decision during my process. They appraised my car and ultimately closed a deal with me.
