A Masterclass in Integrity-Driven Service — Chris Bartow at Mike Mahoney Chevy In the ever-evolving landscape of the automotive industry, where efficiency often eclipses empathy, Chris Bartow of the Ser at Mike Mahoney Chevy In the ever-evolving landscape of the automotive industry, where efficiency often eclipses empathy, Chris Bartow of the Service Department delivers a rare and resounding reminder of what true customer care should look like. His conduct is not merely commendable—it is legacy-worthy. Chris stepped far outside the traditional boundaries of his role to ensure my family received not just support, but honest advocacy. With zero financial incentive and no obligation to be involved beyond the service bay, he assumed a leadership role in guiding us through a nuanced warranty situation. He collaborated seamlessly with Dustin in Finance to architect a solution that was both practical and in our best interest. He listened, not in a devoid manner, but with realism and empathy (I almost forgot what that feels like in such a chop shop/ bottom line kind of automated system we operate in today) And what’s more—he stayed with us every step of the way, following up, checking in, and making sure we felt informed, heard, and supported. Let it be known: this level of commitment is not standard—it’s exceptional. Chris’s ethic echoes the philosophies of storied businessmen like Henry Ford, Harold Helzberg, and Alfred P. Sloan—visionaries who built empires not only on innovation, but on trust, transparency, and a deeply rooted sense of duty to their customer and employee alike. Chris operates with those same timeless principles: integrity over incentive, care over commission, and a human-first approach that leaves a lasting impression. In a world of speed and automation, Chris brings back the high-touch, high-integrity service that once defined the golden era of American business. It would be a mistake for leadership at Mike Mahoney not to recognize the rare caliber of talent they have in Chris. He is not merely an employee; he is an ambassador of what this industry can be when heart, intelligence, and follow-through are prioritized. And to any discerning leaders in the automotive space, yes poachers take note…If you’re seeking someone who embodies both strategic thinking and authentic human connection, Chris is the kind of professional who elevates your entire brand. To Chris Bartow: Thank you. You reminded us that integrity still has a home in this industry. To Mike Mahoney Chevrolet: You’ve got a diamond. Invest accordingly. More
The usual overpriced dealership costs, and they didn’t even diagnose the issue; but I was charged for it anyway. Brought my Buick to them with some transmission issues. Received a call from John that in o even diagnose the issue; but I was charged for it anyway. Brought my Buick to them with some transmission issues. Received a call from John that in order to look into what they believe is wrong, and look for shavings it would cost over $3,000, just to look! If shavings were found it would cost over $6K for a new transmission. I had it towed to Marcos Best Mechanic in Longmont, and two days later I’m up and driving again. They also found a coolant leak that the dealership failed to notice; demonstrating they never looked at my car for the $188 diagnostic fee that was charged. $1380 was definitely a major savings that I just had to post about to save someone else’s money. Turns out it was a $34.99 speed sensor. DO NOT BRING YOUR CAR TO A DEALERSHIP FOR ANY AUTOMOTIVE REPAIRS, UNLESS YOUR VEHICLE IS UNDER WARRANTY. More
Got me into your shop quick and timely for check engine light. Johnson automotive dealership in Brighton was a 2 week Appointment and then after three days still could not check my engine light so I took i light. Johnson automotive dealership in Brighton was a 2 week Appointment and then after three days still could not check my engine light so I took it to your shop. They said that I needed an Oil, pressure gauge replaced. You did the work and then after 50 miles check engine light came on again, so it was put on your machine again and then said I needed to replace O2 sensors that I had replaced nine months prior that a regular auto shop said it needed. Your auto tech said driver side was bad so I replaced them with OEM parts and Joe reset engine light, but the light came on again. I put $2500 in that auto trying to get the light off to no avail. I still think for dealership, you have a better service than I’ve experienced in 20+ years and your service desk guy. Joe is awesome even though nothing worked this time. If I had to go to a dealer, I would recommend you can go back myself. I guess the light will just have to stay on tired of spending money on this vehicle More
