About an hour after I had signed all the papers & driven off the lot with my brand new F-150 King Cab, Keith called me to tell me he found me a better rate than I had originally signed for! And they would bring the papers to sign to me in Columbus the next day! He saved me even more money than they have already saved me! How many other dealerships would do that?!?!? I said all of this to said: We fast forward to December 17, 2009. On this day, my husband and I went to LaGrange to Mike Patton Ford to look for him a car. Wow, little did I know who NOW works there!! Billy Thompson's son, Brian Thompson!! I knew Billy had retired, but did not know the family tradition had continued with his son. Well, guess what? That same GOOD FEELING I had 20 plus years ago was still there at the Mike Patton Ford dealership in the form of George Woodell, Jr. George, to quote my husband, is the best car salesman he has ever encountered. The entire staff was very nice and wanted to help us in anyway they could. From the young lady greeting us (on crutches, bless her), to the person who drove our old car, the experience could not have been better. George is a perfect salesperson- friendly, helpful, knowledgable, not pushy, and very much a people person.
