Simple. Honest. Friendly. Straightforward. I have purchased many cars in my lifetime; some from individuals and the balance from car dealerships. I always buy used to avoid the immediate depreciation value associated with driving a new car off the lot. In the used car space, the sales reps are stereotyped for their behavior which is commonly a pushy or hard sales approach. The last vehicle I purchased, I told the sales person when I walked in "This is my trade in, this is my credit available and this is my cash on hand. Can you do the sale for this?" I did not haggle, nor was I trying to. It was simply all I had to offer. After 4 hours of back and forth, he finally came back saying they could do the deal for exactly what I had to offer. Now, let's contrast that with my experience with Jeffrey Bowlin of Zeck Ford. I emailed him ahead of time what I had to trade in, what I had with cash on hand and what pre-approved credit I had from Ford. I traveled 3 hours to get to Zeck Ford only to find the vehicle we sought was already sold. Jeffrey asked us to look through the inventory of what remained, which was extensive. We picked one that was higher in price than what we had to offer. They are a no haggle office, which I appreciated. So, what did we do? Jeffrey worked with his finance team and got me financed for more than what Ford offered! From the time we arrived to the time we left with our "new to us" car was about 2.5 hours. That included picking a new car, test driving, lots of discussion about the car and the dealership, diving into the entire and complete history of the vehicle, doing all finance papers and a final quality check from one of the managers there. The 2.5 hours literally seemed like 30 minutes. Not only will I go back, but I will recommend this place to anyone that asks. Zeck Ford is a great place and Jeffrey Bowlin was a true pleasure to work with! More

Sales experience was great, but the warranty was laugable I really like that the sales are not based on commission. Our sales person didn't seem to have any kind of vested interest in what we picked. They were also happy to work with us on a couple of things on the vehicle that needed to be remedied. The process of actually buying the car was excellent. Grant was great to work with, and I would buy from him again. My only complaint was the warranty sales pitch in the finance office. It was absolutely ridiculous. The full boat warranty was over $12,000 on a $20,000 car. My benefit was that I've bought several cars and have used (and not used) several warranties over the years, so I wasn't sucked into the fear tactics. I did end up buying just the warranty with a higher deductible, but without all the other stuff like insurance on the keys (you'd have to replace three keys just to break even). My biggest complaint about car buying has always been that the finance office feels pretty slimy and even predatory. For all of Zeck's good points, they only served to reinforce that perception. More

I will say that I had a better experience the first time buying (3 years ago) than the last. Seems like they have grown at a rate that they are barely able to keep up with. It's very hard to get a hold of people or get e-mails or calls responded to in a timely manner. Also, the financing guy used fear tactics on the full warranty program. "you're braver than i am" "knock on wood" "i would never drive a car off a lot without a warranty in this age" after declining the warranty...what a way to cap off your buying experience! drive off the lot with confidence!.... Regardless- Zeck is by the far the best dealership I've ever dealt with. Had great luck with my first purchase and have high hopes for my 2nd. More
