In July I took my car to Moss Dodge Moreno Valley for an oil change. I have lifetime oil changes for my car as long as I keep up the required maintenance on my vehicle, which I do. In addition to my oil cha oil change. I have lifetime oil changes for my car as long as I keep up the required maintenance on my vehicle, which I do. In addition to my oil change I got the recommended coolant, power steering and brake flush. Soon after getting the maintenence done my car overheated, started steaming and coolant flooded everywhere. There we were with 5 kiddos, out to celebrate my little ones birthday and we were stranded on the side of the road 45 minutes from home in 104 degree weather. We towed the car to the dealership, where they told me my Heater hose had been compromised and I had an oil leak in a cam sensor because of the overheating. They took 3 days to diagnose and fix my car, which they did at no charge to me because the broken heater hose caused the car to overheat. After they "Fixed" my vehicle I was told that the technician drove my car for 45 minutes to check if the overheating issue was resolved. Emilio P, who was actually very helpful and kind, advised me to keep an eye on my car over the next month or two, as it was possible that there could be additional problems with the engine. As soon as I got my car back it had a weird idle sound every other time I started the car which escalated to every time I started my car. Fast forward 1 1/2 weeks after I got my car back and my check engine light comes on again and my car sounds horrible. I took my car to the dealership last Monday where they said there is coolant leaking into the engine, due to a broken head gasket because of the overheating and now I need a new engine, which apparently is on back order across the country. They told me that for $14,000 I can get a new engine for my car. I was then told that there is another solution, to which I have responded to see how we can find out more about our options. However, the communication has been subpar. My car was fine until I got "Routine Maintenance", I am currently without my car and have been for 1 week now, because it is still at the dealership and compromised, which is very hard because I have 5 children under 13 years old, who need to get back and forth to school daily. The service manager , Tony, who I had to escalate this situation to won't call me back when he says he is going to and hasn't returned my messages. I feel stressed and defeated. I feel as if this situation, which is devastating to me, is being treated as insignificant in a long line of business the dealership has to attend to. The fact of the matter is that I went to the dealership to purchase my car and have been doing the maintenence work because of the security which I thought would come with the reputable name. However, it seems to be quite the opposite because I am just a other number to them, not a wife and mother dependent upon having reliable transportation. My car had all the required maintenence, 70k miles and had been "checked over" by the dealership and given a green light in all my car report cards, but now I am being told that it is "just something that can happen ". I am beyond disappointed in how the dealership is handling my car service needs. More
Service is terrible; they try to upsell and recommend services that are not needed. I recently took my Ram in for warranty work and was told they were a month behind. I said I’d like to make an appointme services that are not needed. I recently took my Ram in for warranty work and was told they were a month behind. I said I’d like to make an appointment and was told even with an appointment a month down the road I would have to leave the truck for a week. I left and later called and talked to the service manager. She recommended that I call the Moss dealers in San Bernardino and Riverside to see if they could get to it any sooner. I called the Service Department in Riverside and it went to voicemail. I left a message and it’s been a week and I haven’t received a call back. What a way to run a business. The truck is currently at the shop I’ve been using for over 20 years. I’ll be paying for repairs that are covered by the warranty, but since Moss doesn’t seem to have any need to repair the vehicles they sell in a timely manner. Will I ever buy another vehicle from Moss; xxxx NO. More
What an epic waste of time with salespeople who are directed by their managers to lie to potential buyers just to get them to come into the dealership hoping they will agree to purchase a car that is w directed by their managers to lie to potential buyers just to get them to come into the dealership hoping they will agree to purchase a car that is way out of their price range and hundreds of dollars over their budget. Saying things like my manager says we will give a large discount to make the payment work for you. Let me do my job and make it work. And when its actually time to try and do a deal they send in one manager to try and break you down and then say my internet price is the absolute best that i can do. I didn't know what you were expecting. And now our original salesperson hiding in some corner hoping we just change our mind. Then as we are trying to get up and leave they send in a 3rd and 4th volley with another "manager" who starts to budge on price then try to sell us a cheaper car that is still not even in the price range. Our salesperson alex is probably a nice guy. But when it is company policy and training to lie and just do whatever they can to get them into the dealership only to waste buyers time with tactics and condescending managers who think they are master closers... Its just sad and disrespectful. If you are reading this.. Look at all the responses to the 1 star reviews. An apology in response to each review. then probably more training internally to continue doing business as usual. More
