In July I took my car to Moss Dodge Moreno Valley for an oil change. I have lifetime oil changes for my car as long as I keep up the required maintenance on my vehicle, which I do. In addition to my oil cha oil change. I have lifetime oil changes for my car as long as I keep up the required maintenance on my vehicle, which I do. In addition to my oil change I got the recommended coolant, power steering and brake flush. Soon after getting the maintenence done my car overheated, started steaming and coolant flooded everywhere. There we were with 5 kiddos, out to celebrate my little ones birthday and we were stranded on the side of the road 45 minutes from home in 104 degree weather. We towed the car to the dealership, where they told me my Heater hose had been compromised and I had an oil leak in a cam sensor because of the overheating. They took 3 days to diagnose and fix my car, which they did at no charge to me because the broken heater hose caused the car to overheat. After they "Fixed" my vehicle I was told that the technician drove my car for 45 minutes to check if the overheating issue was resolved. Emilio P, who was actually very helpful and kind, advised me to keep an eye on my car over the next month or two, as it was possible that there could be additional problems with the engine. As soon as I got my car back it had a weird idle sound every other time I started the car which escalated to every time I started my car. Fast forward 1 1/2 weeks after I got my car back and my check engine light comes on again and my car sounds horrible. I took my car to the dealership last Monday where they said there is coolant leaking into the engine, due to a broken head gasket because of the overheating and now I need a new engine, which apparently is on back order across the country. They told me that for $14,000 I can get a new engine for my car. I was then told that there is another solution, to which I have responded to see how we can find out more about our options. However, the communication has been subpar. My car was fine until I got "Routine Maintenance", I am currently without my car and have been for 1 week now, because it is still at the dealership and compromised, which is very hard because I have 5 children under 13 years old, who need to get back and forth to school daily. The service manager , Tony, who I had to escalate this situation to won't call me back when he says he is going to and hasn't returned my messages. I feel stressed and defeated. I feel as if this situation, which is devastating to me, is being treated as insignificant in a long line of business the dealership has to attend to. The fact of the matter is that I went to the dealership to purchase my car and have been doing the maintenence work because of the security which I thought would come with the reputable name. However, it seems to be quite the opposite because I am just a other number to them, not a wife and mother dependent upon having reliable transportation. My car had all the required maintenence, 70k miles and had been "checked over" by the dealership and given a green light in all my car report cards, but now I am being told that it is "just something that can happen ". I am beyond disappointed in how the dealership is handling my car service needs. More
Service is terrible; they try to upsell and recommend services that are not needed. I recently took my Ram in for warranty work and was told they were a month behind. I said I’d like to make an appointme services that are not needed. I recently took my Ram in for warranty work and was told they were a month behind. I said I’d like to make an appointment and was told even with an appointment a month down the road I would have to leave the truck for a week. I left and later called and talked to the service manager. She recommended that I call the Moss dealers in San Bernardino and Riverside to see if they could get to it any sooner. I called the Service Department in Riverside and it went to voicemail. I left a message and it’s been a week and I haven’t received a call back. What a way to run a business. The truck is currently at the shop I’ve been using for over 20 years. I’ll be paying for repairs that are covered by the warranty, but since Moss doesn’t seem to have any need to repair the vehicles they sell in a timely manner. Will I ever buy another vehicle from Moss; xxxx NO. More
It would’ve given 0 stars if I could. The car was ok but finance office was a total rip off. I had no issues until got into finance. He pushed and said I HAD to pay for gps tracker and it was my benefit but was only so they could find it if I didn’t pay on the car on time. Then told me 3000.00 for warranty. I already knew they cost the dealer about 1300.00 and I said I’ll pay 2000.00 he then left office and came back and said I got the payment price I wanted. All good until a few days later when I looked over the actual contract and found he extended my payment from 72 months to 82 months and still charged 3000.00 for the warranty. They wouldn’t do anything cuz i signed the contract. Lesson learned. Anyone I can tell about this company I will More

Writers Brian Santoyo & Lorena Galeana made sure they understood what I needed and expedited the repair time, so I could have my Jeep repaired in time for me to be able to spend time with my granddaughte understood what I needed and expedited the repair time, so I could have my Jeep repaired in time for me to be able to spend time with my granddaughter. Also, mechanic Randy knows my old Jeep inside and out, and I will wait for him, rather than take a chance with another. More
