Service on my car I give this rating because, I took my car in several times because of a noise it is making and the transmission is slipping. First they said it was the rotor, then they said it was my brakes and was even going to put brakes on it. I had half a pad left so, my brakes were fine. I took it somewhere else and had them looked at and took pictures. Then they had my car for a week and finally said, they couldn't find the noise. After CLEARLY saying they COULDN'T FIND THE NOISE, they said the NOISE was my ABS engaging. Which is it? They couldn't find it or it's the ABS? Then they NEVER told me why my transmission is slipping and they haven't done anything to fix it. So, no, I am not happy with my service More

Excellent customer service When I was shopping for a new car, I was met by a wonderful salesman who was very helpful. He explained every step that I needed to take. The service department is great, the parts department is great, the salesman is great, the entire crew at Mountaineer Automotive is great. Miss diagnosis My mother tried to get a inspection sticker on her 2012 mustang and it was rejected due to play in the LF tie rod. I go to install a new one after pulling the tire off I checked it and couldn't fined play. So I call them and I was told to bring it back and they would show me. So I left work 2 hours early and took it to them. They pull it in the back 20 minutes later they come get me. The car is back on the ground and suposibly the manager looked at it. That great and all but I was there to see it for myself. So my point is if your telling me it's bad and I bring it to you to show me why will you not show me. Just for reference I am a mechanic and I have had 4 years of schooling and 6 plus years experience. I will not expect being lied. More
Warranty work WAS covered I took my Lincoln to Mountaineer Auto to have an oil change and all the fluids flushed and refilled. The next day after the work was done, we took a I took my Lincoln to Mountaineer Auto to have an oil change and all the fluids flushed and refilled. The next day after the work was done, we took a trip out of state for a dr appt. While on the trip the air conditioning would not cool. I took my Lincoln back to the service department and let them check to see if something was done while they were doing the oil change, etc. on the car. Mountaineer told me the problem with the air conditioning was age and use and gave me an estimate of parts and labor. I asked if the work was under warranty and was told no. I made an appt to go back to have air worked on. Prior to bringing the Lincoln to the dealership, I called service rep again at Mountaineer to ask if they were sure the work was not covered by warranty and they said it was not. My husband and I had purchased the premium warranty when we purchased the Lincoln. We couldn’t understand why most of the repairs we’ve had done to the Lincoln were not under warranty. I decided to call the warranty company myself to tell them my concerns about the warranty. I gave them all of my information, and some of the part numbers that would be required for repair of the air conditioner. The warranty company checked the parts and told me it was covered under warranty. I told them Mountaineer maintained their decision that it was not covered by warranty. The warranty company told me to have Mountaineer call the warranty office and they would tell the service department how to enter the information into the computer so it would go through correctly for warranty work. The service tech called me and apologized because after talking to the warranty company and being instructed how to enter the warranty information it was determined the work would be warranty covered. If I had not called the warranty company myself for verification, we would of paid $600 plus for repairs to the air conditioner and would not have known that our payment was not required. Thank God I went behind the dealership and checked myself. Our vehicles running condition is very important to us. I am travelling out of state to be treated for breast cancer and we want to make sure everything works on the Lincoln so we would not have a break down on the interstate. This is not the first time I’ve had issues with Mountaineer and the service work done on my Lincoln. But the previous work has already been negotiated between Lincoln and myself. Also, the service rep was new and I guess did not know exactly how to do the computer entry work for warranty repair. Thank you for allowing me to give this review. More
