I met with Brett Echols a week ago and he was the first salesman of experience with this dealership because every single thing about it was perfect. I met with Brett Echols a week ago and he was the first salesman of many that I dealt with. I test drove my vehicle of choice, a 2011 GMC Terrain. The price was a bit above my budget so I continued to shop after Brett assured me that the price was fair & low. I went from there to 5 other local dealerships. One salesman at another dealership had me very close to purchasing until I found out that the mpg's were way under what he'd told me. I left that dealership and never went back. I nearly bought a new Hyundai Santa Fe but despite it being brand new and having a couple extra features than the Terrain, it actually seemed to be a lower end vehicle and was not nearly as comfortable. I went from place to place, finding out for myself that everything Brett had told me was actually true. The Terrain was low mileage, comfortable, and equipped with more options than I could find in any other vehicle. Finally, I was on day 6 of shopping and getting very discouraged. Brett called me once more at just the moment that yet another deal fell through because the numbers just didn't come together to give me that payment I needed. I literally hung up with one salesman giving me more bad news....and my phone rang with a call from Brett Echols at Classic Buick GMC Cadillac. He wasn't pushy or annoyed with me, but simply asked, "How's it going?". I told him, "not so good". He said, "I've still got your car here". And then he said he'd spent a lot of time on the internet trying to beat his own price, only to find that nothing within the surrounding states could even touch it. I knew he was right, and I'd done my own research as well. My husband & I went over and test drove the Terrain once more and Brett got all of the paperwork together. The price on the paperwork was exactly as we'd discussed on the phone, not a penny more. I signed all the dotted lines & then Brett sat in my new car with me to make sure that the Onstar was all ready to go & to give me a final bit of instruction before I drove off. The experience was finished off with a $25 gas card that was greatly appreciated. I will buy my next car from Brett Echols if at all possible. He was honest and friendly, motivated without being pushy, and actually seemed to be on my side when it came to the price. He even price shopped his own competitors before we made the deal. I have never seen a car salesman do that! I can honestly say it was the best Car Purchasing Experience I have ever had and I have bought five cars (new & used) in my 40 years so far. I love this vehicle and the experience of purchasing it and getting a great deal make me love it even more! More
