Not going to rate 1 because the service in which I came in for was done okay. Reason for the 2 stars is because of the process. From the time I could walk, my father who was a mechanic, taught me the process of full and complete service. Put a fender cover on the vehicle when changing oil. Make sure you return the vehicle cleaner than the way you found it. That wasn’t the case. I have all of my vehicles ceramic coated and detailed completely every 6-9 months. Vehicle was returned with visible grease stains on the driver side fender. Yes, I’m very meticulous about how my vehicles are kept and expect the same of those that perform services for me. Service booking agent provided inaccurate information regarding loaners. Luxury vehicle with 20K miles incurred a $2,000 repair that was not accident related. I needed a new key for my Transit Connect. I bought it from CarMax and it came with only one, so I called Murgado to 1) confirm they could do this service for me, since I had not bought the ca I bought it from CarMax and it came with only one, so I called Murgado to 1) confirm they could do this service for me, since I had not bought the car from them, 2) get a quote, and 3) order the key. On the phone, I got passed back and forth between Parts and Service I think 4 times? And once I was finally ready to order the key, I was again passed back and forth between Sales and Parts a couple times, no one seemingly knowing what to do, or, perhaps, wanting to help me. After being on hold for a few minutes, I finally do get someone one the phone who can seemingly help me, but only then am I told I need to come order the key in person. That would have been good to know before being passed around so much. A few days later I go in person to order the key. No problem there, service was prompt and helpful. I am told it will take only a day or two for the key to arrive, and that they will text me that the part is in, and call me to schedule my service. Sure enough the next day, Friday 8/15, I do get a text notifying that my key has arrived... but no phone call. On Monday afternoon, I call them myself to schedule the service, which is scheduled later in the week, 8/21. I arrive at my service time and drop off my keys. I'm told it will be about an hour to cut and pair the new key, but I'm hopeful it won't be THAT long since it seems like a fairly straightforward process? But that's just me hoping. In any case, I ended up waiting 2 hours, and I might have been made to wait longer if I had not gone back to the service desk myself to investigate what was taking so long. It seems that the Service Agent assigned to help me got caught up with an unruly customer directly in front of me in the queue, and wasn't able to either get out to just check me out or pass along my info to someone else. Again, I was only able to get out of there after waiting twice as long as I was told because I myself went and checked on the status of my work. So all in all, not great. Between the lack of clarity on the phone, the missed follow-up, and then apparently falling through the cracks in the waiting room, it was not a great experience. In fairness to the guy who helped me (whose name I cannot remember, so sorry), he did text me later in the day to apologize for making me wait, which was nice. More
