First, I called about a vehicle I saw online and had my son, who lives in the area, test drive it a few hours later only to find the price of the car had increased by $500 with no explanation. My son sa son, who lives in the area, test drive it a few hours later only to find the price of the car had increased by $500 with no explanation. My son said the truck was good. The next morning I called the sales person who was busy. I made an appointment for 5:45 that day. That was the only time he had available per the receptionist. I called a while later to get a final price with taxes and fees with no haggling. I wanted to bring a cashier’s check and get the vehicle that day and go home. I was told they would not accept the cashier’s check, and I could not get the car that day. I had to wait a day to get the car. Being from out of town, I replied that this was not acceptable. I told him I would not make another trip. The person over the phone kept arguing, so I said I was through. I then received a call from a sales manager who admitted the wait was because they wanted to “explain their warranty products.” He said I could get the car that day and he would personally explain, but I had to listen to him in order to get the car today I hung up. I won’t be held hostage by anyone. My daughter was upset about it….she could not believe the check issue. She called and talked with this person later and asked since they did not accept cashier’s checks, do they accept personal checks of which he said yes. He told my daughter to come and ask for him…only him and.not the person with which we were working. Sounded like he was trying to poach a potential sale from another employee. He kept saying he wished he knew the name of the person (in his dealership) who spoke with me. When you call the dealership, it indicates that the calls are being taped. Why doesn’t he simply listen the tape….his wish you know. This whole situation sounded bogus. A few hours later, this person called asking where we were…my car was ready. I thought I made it clear I was through. In fact, I was at another dealership. I further said I did not trust him or the dealership. I don’t do business with people I don’t trust. I have no patience with this unscrupulous dealership and sales manager. I will not go back. There are plenty of other dealers who want my business without the sideshow circus they wanted to put me through for a ten year old used truck. Not worth my time or money. I am sure at this dealership, no one cares. More
Overpriced. Arrogant. Opportunistic. Dishonest. Unprofessional. Desperate. If you’re looking for old school car salesmanship nonsense and have time to burn - loo Arrogant. Opportunistic. Dishonest. Unprofessional. Desperate. If you’re looking for old school car salesmanship nonsense and have time to burn - look no further. They will string you along, keep you in the dark, rip you off and act like you’re getting a deal. They’ll say anything to move you towards a purchase. I’ve never felt more like a sales metric than a customer. Oh, and expect to pay insane “market adjustment” pricing over the listed MSRP. They’ll insist their overly inflated pricing is normal, it is NOT. I know this because I ended up taking my business to a different Kia dealership and was offered a totally fair and reasonable price without the any of the run around. Honestly, it wasn’t until I had such an amazing experience at another dealership that I realized how horrible Kia Carmel was. Don’t let them convince you that this is the “new normal” with car buying in 2022. I absolutely love my new Kia, but do yourself a favor and find yours anywhere but here. More
When I came into the dealership I was able to talk right to an agent which was Jaqwain Jones And show me what my best options were for what I was looking for and they worked out to an agent which was Jaqwain Jones And show me what my best options were for what I was looking for and they worked out More

It’s been absolutely terrible trying to find a dealer with the car I wanted. Napleton Kia not only had a car that was almost identical to the one I wanted, but also sold it to me for a very good price. Go see Salesman Jose and managers Austin and Brian were great. More

They tried to force me to buy Ziebart protection and held on to my interest rate. Then Matt Carver, the salesman, took my picture and posted it on Facebook when I said don't share my information or photo of on to my interest rate. Bought a brand new Sportage here in December, and don't trust them very much. It was during the time when there were long production delays, so new car inventory was slim, and I was desperate to get an AWD trust them very much. It was during the time when there were long production delays, so new car inventory was slim, and I was desperate to get an AWD vehicle before winter. First, they tried to raise the price well over the sticker when I said I'd buy my car, stating they don't know when they'll be able to replenish their stock, so they basically needed to make profits where they could. They also tried to say that people were buying new cars quickly, so if I left, the car might not be there tomorrow. I pointed out that can't be true in this case because the car I was eyeing had been on the lot since early-October, and it was now mid-December. Weird things to tell a customer, but I haggled down to the monthly payment I was comfortable paying. Haggling was a joke, and a huge waste of time, especially on a weeknight, but I got the car I really wanted at the payment I wanted. Also, during a test drive of a car I didn't end up buying, the salesman said I could just buy an SD card and pop it in for navigation. Not only is this not true because you need very specific SD cards, but I had to call Ray Skillman Kia to confirm that if you buy a brand new Kia, the SD card should be included already. Went back to Napleton on December 30th, and made my case. They finally did a We Owe, and told me again that there were production delays. It's been nearly 6 months, and I've had to call over and over again for updates. Back in April, when I called, I was told that I could have it by early May, and never heard from them again. This weekend (Memorial Day weekend), a manager gave me an SD card from another Sportage, and it doesn't work. And, no one has answered me on why I'm being given the run-around on the the SD card that was ordered in December from the We Owe, and was told might be available by early May. Shouldn't have sold me a new car without the SD card installed in the first place, and definitely should not be giving an established customer this BS. I also noticed later on all the paperwork that they indicated I purchased the car with 15 miles on it, but it had 89. This is partially my fault for not catching while purchasing, but it was late on a weeknight, and I was tired, yet it was my only free for quite some time. But also why wouldn't they just be honest about this? I honestly should have known they weren't trustworthy when the manager who tried to raise the price went to leave for the evening, and was driving an early 2000s Honda Accord that clearly needs work, as it screeched so loudly when he turned it on, it made me jump, and was noisy when he pulled off. No wonder he tried to squeeze every penny out of me! I tried to submit this information privately via the survey they give, but they only give you 30 days to complete, and I wanted to wait until everything was completed (e.g., registration and title) before submitting.
