My wife and I went to multiple Chrysler dealers and left every place feeling at unease and not happy with any sales people :( but after meeting joe bowers and. The GM Sam Swiess we felt at ease and they gav every place feeling at unease and not happy with any sales people :( but after meeting joe bowers and. The GM Sam Swiess we felt at ease and they gave us a amazing deal and made the whole process from start to finish the best buying experience we have ever had and recommend all our friends and family members to Napleton in Arlington Heights More
If you are planning on purchasing a used car from this dealership spend the $100.00 and have it checked by your mechanic. Their "safety inspection" was non existent and incompetent. Buyer Beware. We waled dealership spend the $100.00 and have it checked by your mechanic. Their "safety inspection" was non existent and incompetent. Buyer Beware. We waled away from this deal because the vehicle was clearly unsafe and we are not mechanics. We asked questions about how they go about their safety check and Kevin danced around the answer like a politician would. More
Got a decent price in the end, but every part of dealing with these guys was miserable. The salesman, Mike, was friendly and not pushy, but promised prices he couldn't deliver on to get us in the door... with these guys was miserable. The salesman, Mike, was friendly and not pushy, but promised prices he couldn't deliver on to get us in the door... that was expected. Sam Sweis, the GM, was the truly unpleasant one to deal with. Once we did agree on a price, it changed (always higher) with every piece of paper they put in front of us to sign... Sam kept blaming the computer... it took several rounds before the paperwork reflected the price we agreed on. We walked in with pre-approved financing in hand from Bank of America, and they kept trying to get us to fill out an Ally Bank financing application anyway. I refused. Then Sam claimed to 'activate' that pre-approved financing, but what they really did was pull another credit report and re-apply for a loan. Thankfully I was watching the screen (for some reason they allowed me to see their computer screen with everybody else's credit pulls... scary) and I suspected what they were up to, so I only allowed them to check the Bank of America box instead of all the banks on their screen... Sure enough, despite their claims, they weren't activating anything, they re-applied for the loan. I immediately checked my credit monitoring service and saw the hit. At least I only ended up with one more credit inquiry instead of a dozen. I confronted Sam on what he had done... even Mike seemed embarrassed at his boss. Finally got into the finance office where the finance guy was ready to do the financing application all over again when I told him Sam had already pulled my credit... he didn't believe me at first, but sure enough I was right. If I hadn't been watching so closely, my credit reports would have been in a terrible state by the time I walked out. The finance guy was actually quite pleasant and helpful, unlike everyone else we dealt with... called Bank of America and got us a rate a quarter of a percent lower than what we had already obtained, on identical terms. Those of you who stuck with this review for so long are probably asking why I didn't just leave... truth is I read all the other reviews before going in and was prepared for all this. They had my 1st choice vehicle. I walked in knowing exactly which vehicle I wanted, and how much I was willing to pay. It was crucial to have competing dealer quotes ready for my second and third choice vehicles at other dealers, along with printed communications from those dealers stating the quotes were valid for anybody, and didn't include discounts only a few people would qualify for (for example, military, loyalty, etc.). In the end, I got a price I was happy with, and was prepared enough and thorough enough to combat all the shady tactics along the way. A month later when I returned to get my plates, I got to wait for half an hour before they found anyone to help me, followed by witnessing my salesman and the porter berating each other over who would put them on my car. Classy. I refuse to go back to this dealer for service; I take my car to Zeigler in Schaumburg instead even though it is twice as far for me. So my advice to others is that you can get a good deal on a car here, but only if you know exactly which car you want, what you will pay, and you have the patience to carefully control the entire buying process. They will pounce on any indecisiveness, unpreparedness, or oversights on your part, so don't bother if your idea of a car buying experience is trusting the guy across the table to take care of you. Zaia was an incredibly honest and friendly dealer. The day after we bought the car, there was an issue with the spark plugs. We told Zaia of the problem, and he told us to come in. The car was fixed, and day after we bought the car, there was an issue with the spark plugs. We told Zaia of the problem, and he told us to come in. The car was fixed, and we were not charged...despite the car not being under warranty. It was an opportune time for a less honest dealership to take advantage. However, Zaia assured me everything would be taken care of. I recommend Napleton, and Zaia, for purchasing a car. More
I'll keep this simple as this issue will get me to just go off.... I bought two vehicles mid April 2013.... 2013 Dodge Charger 2013 and a 2010 Chrysler Town and Country. The salesman helped me with my just go off.... I bought two vehicles mid April 2013.... 2013 Dodge Charger 2013 and a 2010 Chrysler Town and Country. The salesman helped me with my purchase and as expected the finance department tried to "stick it ti me" regarding the financing. I managed to find my own financing. Time to finalize the deal and the salesman, the used car manager Kevin Clifford (a complete joke of a man) and I workout a list of issues that would need to be corrected to complete the sale. Kevin has the salesman work up a "we owe" form and we both sign it. I needed the UConnect Radio replaced as the UConnect feature and overall radio functionality was questionable / non-functional at times, the van was filthy, the rear wiper arm needed replacing, the tires were / are virtually down to the tread and scratches are to be buffed out. Needless to say that as of today, 6/14/2013 nothing has been repaired, replaced or honored. I tried to deal with the salesman at first, then with Kevin who as of last week 6/06/2013 stated that the radio has been ordered and to bring the vehicle in on Tuesday 6/11/2013. I live in Crystal Lake and the dealership is (now) in Arlington Heights, That's 25 miles one way. I arrived approximately 10 minutes prior to my appointment (8:30 am) and spoke with Eric (I believe was his name) who winced and notified me that no radio had been ordered. What am I to do? I asked for the corporate number, which no one knew and or couldn't provide me. I finally was able to attain it via Google and contacted Shelia Anderson at 630-530-3955 for anyone with similar issues. I expressed my disgust and she expressed her sympathy to my situation. I felt that I was finally speaking with someone that cared and understood. That was Tuesday. I gave her the day and called her the following day and expressed a concern as she hadn't called me with any news. I've attempted to contact her again today and finally I contacted her boss. I've left messages with everyone and now I'm pondering an "outta-da-box" solution.... Bottom-line don't go to Napleton’s Arlington Heights Chrysler Dodge Jeep RAM 1155 W. Dundee Road Arlington Heights, IL 60004 If you do and you get an "I owe you," get one with specific dates as to when you can expect the rendered work complete. What a hassle, I will never shop Napleton's again and will do what I can to inform the public regarding the Napelton menace. More
My husband called and made an appointment for a recall for his car after receiving a letter from Jeep. He brought in his car and the service person (Eric) told him that there was no recall and that he di for his car after receiving a letter from Jeep. He brought in his car and the service person (Eric) told him that there was no recall and that he didn't know what he was talking about. He even went to the point to prove he was right by showing him a screen. We received a letter from the dealer in regards to the recall and my husband had a number that he could call if there was any problems. He spoke to a woman who called Eric and Eric claims he made a mistake and had put in the wrong car info. My husband asked him to make sure he did put in the right car and that is when Eric became hostile and argumentative. My husband called him back and now Eric instead of apologizing has blamed my husband once again for his mistake. Very unprofessional and rude. More
This dealership uses bait and switch, and sadly I did not read reviews before falling for the trick myself. They posted a great price online. Went right away. Checked out the car, test drove it, and went ba read reviews before falling for the trick myself. They posted a great price online. Went right away. Checked out the car, test drove it, and went back inside to review the car fax. Salesman told us the manager denied existence of a post for the price I claimed and came back at me with a completely different number! after 30 minutes of waiting and meeting managers and managers of managers they brought us into the other room and showed us the listing online. Sure enough it showed the higher price they were claiming. I printed out the original online listing with the price I SAW and showed it to the manager. He brushed it off saying he would never put that price for the car...and more excuses. He lied and used the SAME listing, changing only the price because the color of the car was the same inaccurate color on both!!! The manager knew there was a listing for the price I said, denied it existed, changed the listing to the "new" price, tried to sell it to me for the higher price, and didn't even walk us out like a decent human being when we denied his offer. He was rude and they are not practicing fair business. Skip this place. There are plenty of other dealerships on Dundee Rd. More
I had a great experience purchasing a used vehicle at Napleton Dodge and this is coming from someone who has worked in the auto business. All of the dealings I had with the group were more than fair and Napleton Dodge and this is coming from someone who has worked in the auto business. All of the dealings I had with the group were more than fair and I was given even more than I had been promised and expected when returning the car for the "we owes" due to me. I worked and dealt with Irving Medina, Kevin Clifford, JP, Sam Sweis, and Chris Kap in service and everyone of them went above and beyond my expectations. This group definitely over-delivered on their promises and I would recommend this dealer to anyone looking to purchase a new/used vehicle. When I purchase another car, I will look to this group at Napleton first. You should too. Jim K More
