Nissan City of Red Bank

2000 Maxima has transmission problem, slips when going from 1st to 2nd. Has not always done that, started doing it after 35,000 miles. Taken car several times to dealer. Dealer first claimed that they couldn't duplicate problem. When problem was detected on test drive, dealer claimed the problem was normal. The problem is obviously not normal, because it didn't occur when car was new, nor in any other car I have ever owned. Car is now over 60,000 warranty. On last visit the dealer manager who was new, reviewed the previous service calls and took an interest in fixing this problem. We have the car in and they are doing some adjustments. Dealer now indicates they will work with us to see problem resolved. We are keeping a hopeful, open mind on this and will update this review once these actions are complete and we can see if the problem is fixed. More
