BELLA NISSIAN I am providing my candid assessment of a disappointing and stressful car shopping experience at Bella Nissan. Having conducted business with multiple dealerships, I have never encountered th disappointing and stressful car shopping experience at Bella Nissan. Having conducted business with multiple dealerships, I have never encountered this type of behavior, which unfortunately yielded a negative outcome. Utilizing CarGuru, I contacted the dealership to confirm availability and scheduled a test drive. However, the check engine light illuminated, and I encountered numerous misrepresentations from the salesman, finance manager, and other involved parties, except for one or two individuals who demonstrated understanding of my car buying experience. Undisclosed items were added to the contract, including two items with separate contract numbers. Upon inquiry, the dealership fabricated explanations, claiming unawareness of the items' origin. It was evident that these items had been added, and the finance manager was the sole individual capable of doing so, as such items typically originate from the finance office. I expressed extreme dissatisfaction, prompting the bank to contact me and provide the numbers of the extended packages that had been added. I contacted the bank, and they furnished me with two contract numbers. When I contacted the dealership again, they falsely claimed that the items were not included in the contract, whereas the bank confirmed their presence. This dealership's propensity for dishonesty was alarming, and I can confidently assert that this was the worst buying experience I have ever encountered, replete with deception and dishonesty, including the possibility that the check engine light was caused by a loose gas cap, despite the vehicle being capless. The check engine light resulted from a new battery. The dealership claimed intentions to retain the vehicle for battery replacement, after initially stating that a new battery had already been installed. One representative, Stephen, inquired about the cancellation of funding and falsely accused me of taking possession of the vehicle, which was untrue, and displayed rudeness without offering an apology for the baseless accusation. The behavior exhibited by this dealership was utterly reprehensible. My phone calls went unanswered; I had to drive up there in person. , I possess proof. I voided the contract, and with a credit score exceeding 700, they insisted I utilize their financing instead of my own. Looking on the paperwork left while wating It was disclosed on the paperwork using their bank would result in a $4,365.00 commission, whereas using external financing would increase the vehicle's price by $2,000. I provided a $500 cash deposit, which was returned four days later by check. The following day, I visited Heritage Cadillac, where I experienced a vastly different and positive experience, characterized by a seamless sign-and-drive process and a professional staff that demonstrated genuine appreciation for my business. Buyer Beware- On April 19, 2025, we purchased a used 2022 Ford Expedition Max from Bella Nissan in Union City. Within just 12 miles of driving, the vehicle began leaking rear axle differential fluid at 2022 Ford Expedition Max from Bella Nissan in Union City. Within just 12 miles of driving, the vehicle began leaking rear axle differential fluid at an extreme rate. This issue was not disclosed during the sale, nor was it noted in the provided Carfax report. Upon inspection, it was determined that the rear differential had been improperly repaired prior to sale. Despite assurances from two staff members that the dealership would arrange towing and "make it right" with a deal or compensation, we ultimately had to arrange and pay for the tow ourselves. Once the vehicle arrived, we were told the repair would be completed within a day and the vehicle delivered to us. However, multiple promised communications from your staff—including a 1 PM phone call with the service manager—were missed or ignored, forcing us to physically come to the dealership to get updates. We were repeatedly misled about the status of the vehicle, including being told it had already been taken to Ford for repairs, which was confirmed by Ford the it had not at that time. Only after significant delay (a week later) were we finally provided a rental vehicle, which was supposed to be part of our warranty coverage from day one. On May 2, we picked up the vehicle, only to find the same issue persisted. We contacted Ford directly, and they had the vehicle towed within the hour and provided a loaner car the next morning—demonstrating the level of service that was entirely absent from our experience at Bella Nissan. The car is still unfortunately not in our possession due to persistent mechanical issues in the axel. For our first car purchase this was and will probably be the worst experience we’ve ever had and will always make us be untrustworthy of purchasing a vehicle. * We were sold a vehicle in unsafe condition, which could have led to a serious accident. * The dealership has refused to acknowledge responsibility or offer any compensation, despite initial verbal commitments. * The communication from staff was inconsistent, dismissive, and in some cases, outright dishonest. We have documentation (texts and time-stamped calls) to support this. * We were denied access to speak with anyone in upper management, with repeated excuses that they were in meetings or unavailable. * We were promised an apology call that never came. We are extremely disappointed by the way this situation was handled and feel that we were misled and mistreated throughout the process. More
I wish I would have read the reviews on this site PRIOR to driving 113 miles. . I spoke with 3 separate staff at Bella Nissan over the course of 3 days. All 3 of these employees were fully aware I was t to driving 113 miles. . I spoke with 3 separate staff at Bella Nissan over the course of 3 days. All 3 of these employees were fully aware I was talking to each of them. This wasn't something I did intentionally but I was calling at varying hours of the day due to my work schedule. Looking back at my call log, I counted 11 times in 3 days that I called because I could not get them to call me back even though they repeatedly told me they would call back in "just a few minutes". It was monumentally important to me that I hash out the details, inform them of my intentions and limits, and get a 'out-the-door" agreed upon price PRIOR to driving a nearly FIVE HOUR round trip from where I live to their dealership. . After all the difficulty communicating with them, and after I had to haggle with them on the phone to get them to drop multiple add-ons to the overall price, I finally got a price that was CLOSE TO, but still more expensive than their advertised price online. I even got the finance manager to put in writing that they were agreeing to the price we both were ok with and send me a picture of the document that he had printed out. This wasn't just a screenshot or something - this was a formal contract that had been printed out, sat on a desk and photographed. . As I had spoken to several different employees up there I had made sure that they were aware I was intending on paying the full cost in cash at the time of the sale. I even had employees ask me on separate occasions how I intended on paying. . I will say that the staff seemed friendly and professional at first glance but this is just an attempt to cover up everything they're not. Unprofessional is an understatement. Criminal, deceptive, deceitful, & a dozen other negative words I'm not going to list here. . So after my long drive and after trying to get clarification on details that didn't make any sense to me and most certainly didn't line up with what we agreed to on the phone, they then inform me that they won't agree to that deal unless I finance in house. The Better Business Bureau should shut this business down. . So not only did they not honor the price that they put in writing for me, but they weren't willing to budge even a little bit only a $2,000 fee that they were trying to charge me because I was paying with cash. Then to make matters worse, after one of the men that was helping me explained the details of their in house financing, I asked to see the financing note so I could go over the details myself & that's what I realized that they were intentionally trying to screw me and that they were literally out to get me since what they explained about their financing did not even remotely match up to what the contract said. When I questioned them on this, the man simply told me that I was entering into a "gentleman's agreement". You've got to be freaking kidding me. So now they want me to enter into some undisclosed, unwritten, contract with the wink of an eye and a handshake!?!?! . I don't see how they could enter into a gentleman's agreement anyway when I didn't even see the first bit of evidence that the men I was dealing with were gentleman. This business should be shut down and the employee should be barred from ever working in the auto sales business again. . Furthermore, you would think that in the interest of being a reputable business, and continuing to promote their dealership they would be willing to sell a vehicle to a price they agreed upon - even if it undercut the money they had put into it - which I promise you the deal that I was trying to get did not. Nope - these men were concerned about themselves and every penny they could make and couldn't care less about their image or reputation. Steer clear of this one More
