The finance team kept at it until they not just met, but obliterated my max payment threshold, which could not have been easy. And that’s it... My sales person was OK, but her brashness would turn some people off I’m sure. The real issues were with the service department and whatever inspection process they put their used vehicles through. I did a quick walk-around the truck and failed to notice the broken clear cover over the left taillight housing. More obvious though was the tire pressure sensor fault warning when started. During the drive I noticed the right blinker flashed at a faster rate then the left one. I remember thinking this could be due to a bulb being out...and it was. In all that followed, I forgot to mention the blinker. This process took place on a Friday in mid-June. I was told to come back that Monday to get the sensor fixed. When I showed up, no one seemed to know why I was there...no appt, no part, no repair. It was at this time I mentioned the broken taillight and blinker. The service rep took all kinds of pictures and promised to get back to me when the sensor came in AND with a decision on the other issues. One week later I wrote to ask status and received a pleasantly quick response and apology with a promise of more info to follow. One week later, I wrote again, this time with no response. Yet another week later, after writing again, I finally heard from the service rep. He apologized profusely while also telling me they were not going to cover the blinker or taillight housing. The blinker...a bulb...they weren’t going to replace a bulb...SMH. Anyway, we arranged a time for me to drop off my truck, with the understanding they would need it for a couple of days. That was a Monday, and the loaner agreement was for four days. I received a text on that Thursday telling me the truck would be ready on Saturday. On Saturday, today BTW, when I asked when I could pick it up, I was told Tuesday for sure! I asked if they would please replace the blinker bulb, to which I was told; “I don’t know if I can do that...No promises.” For a bulb...a single bulb... Mind you over a month after purchase and they still did not have the part they needed for a broken sensor they knew about and promised to fix back when I purchased the truck. Besides that, what kind of used vehicle inspection process misses a broken taillight housing, an inoperable blinker, a bad tire pressure sensor, the chipped windshield, and stripped out license plate mounting holes...oh, did I mention those? The plate was loose and could’ve fallen off the truck because the inspection AND the sales person who mounted the new plate did not notice or care to mention the stripped-out mounting screws. And there’s a dime-sized chip in the windshield...luckily not in my field of view while driving. I’m writing this on the Saturday I was supposed to get my truck back...I can’t wait to see what Tuesday brings. More
