After driving 4 hours to get to Nissan of Everett and completing my test drive... I was informed that essential factory accessories for the Rivian were missing. The dealership offered no compensation or completing my test drive... I was informed that essential factory accessories for the Rivian were missing. The dealership offered no compensation or help to replace them, simply stating they didn't have them and blaming the previous owner. To make matters worse, they handed me an untested, mismatched charger and claimed all of their dealership chargers were broken—meaning they couldn't charge the vehicle before my 4-hour drive back home. Knowing how far I had traveled, it felt like they assumed the sale was a done deal and cared very little about sending me off safely or complete. The lack of transparency on my trade-in was equally disappointing. They gave me $32,500 to match my CarMax offer, assuring me CarMax was 'overpaying' and that they were taking the car in as a favor to hand off for a $200–$300 commission because it 'would just sit on their lot with zero retail value.' Shortly after leaving, I found my exact Passport professionally studio-photographed and listed on their website with a $39,876 Retail Price ($36,000 online)—marking it up $3,500 to $7,300 higher than what they gave me. Telling a buyer to their face that a car has no retail value—only to immediately studio-shoot it and mark it up thousands for retail profit—is misleading. Out-of-town buyers should be extremely cautious and double-check every claim before making a long trip. More
