I was recommended upwards of $1,700 in ancillary services that were not necessary. This included a brake flush, which I actually performed AT THIS LOCATION on my last service in January. I asked the asso that were not necessary. This included a brake flush, which I actually performed AT THIS LOCATION on my last service in January. I asked the associate why this was offered along with several other items, and she stated it was based on my service history at this location. I then went to my glove box and pulled my last invoice from Lithia Nissan to present to her and the manager that I was recommended for service that had just been performed. The manager stated that she did not look at the history for the vehicle when recommending the services, that it was generated based on mileage. So I got two separate and conflicting answers for the same question. I am extremely upset. I am not one to just pay for a service because it's suggested, but I know that there are seniors and other individuals out there who would have paid for this and gotten a service they didn't need. And they would have just paid hundreds of extra dollars for nothing, as the dealership would never have caught this or explained it afterwards. Please take this seriously. I do not want anything free or discounted, but this is indisputable evidence of really shady business practices and your processes for recommending services need to be challenged and re-evaluated.
