Genesis was nice enough. She is doing her job. However, the experience at the dealership was not positive. The car had its engine light on and we brought it in to see why. She is doing her job. However, the experience at the dealership was not positive. The car had its engine light on and we brought it in to see why. Just to even look, there was a $210 fee. All they did was look at the oil and take a few pictures. Hardly worth the fee charged!!! The result was that the oil was in bad shape, hadn't been serviced lately and had sludge. Keep in mind, the car is at 29,000 miles and 4 years old. The recommendation was an entire new engine. After we declined that offer, we picked up the car and were told that after consulting a service manager, they could perhaps try and salvage the engine for a starting fee of $600. We took the car to another place and had the oil cleaned up and changed for $100. When told about the recommendation to replace the engine, the entire shop was appalled. We feel like we were definitely taken advantage of and extremely disappointed. We have two Nissans. Not a nice experience for loyal customers. We will be contacting the service manager and Nissan to let them know. More
I have always found my service needs to be extremely well taken care of. All of the staff is friendly and helpful and very supportive and Nazario Sanchez has been the most helpful and supportive with all o taken care of. Joseph was amazing - thoughtfully explained all the essential services necessary as well as suggesting other maintenance which is encouraging to a customer who doesn’t know much about cars and has been essential services necessary as well as suggesting other maintenance which is encouraging to a customer who doesn’t know much about cars and has been taken advantage of in the past - but just wants his car run alright and not break down on the 405 freeway during rush hour.
