I live in Virginia and my Grand Cherokee broke down on the tollway in Dallas. I had driven in from Tennessee that day. After the Jeep Assist hung up on me twice trying to get a tow truck, I finally got it the tollway in Dallas. I had driven in from Tennessee that day. After the Jeep Assist hung up on me twice trying to get a tow truck, I finally got it to the dealership 4 hours later having to cover the cost myself. I was told that it was the fuel pump that failed and would need to be replaced but that it would be covered under the warranty. I was also told that the part was back ordered but they could have it by Monday if they rushed it, which just seemed strange. This forced me to find extra place to stay for an additional night. So I picked the car up Monday and roughly 1k later nothing was covered under warranty. To make things more interesting, once i picked up the car and paid for everything, I drove 5 hours to Lubbock only to learn they had not bolted the muffler on correctly. Once I returned to VA I spoke with my local dealership since they had serviced the car 4 days prior and they were appalled that nothing was covered under warranty or at least some good faith effort as the 3 year 36,000 mile had expired literally that same day. From Leo the owner to Fred Polito, my salesman & Eric ??? in finance ,and a lady named So absolute highest ranking available as far as I'm concerned! From Leo the owner to Fred Polito, my salesman & Eric ??? in finance ,and a lady named Sommor for helping Fred & taking care of my Chocolate Lab, Jake while I bought my new red 2020 Dodge Power Wagon ! I originally went by the Forest Lane Dealership looking to buy a Used Ford F 250 because they had a 2019 F - 250 Lariat Diesel that I looked at while I was there . The only issue that I had was the Lariat was white & another F-250 King Ranch Trim Package was Blue. I have been owning Fords since Chevrolet actually Quit making RED Surburbans which I used to drive personally because the local Chevy Dealer was a good friend of mine ; my company was a Commercial Construction Contractor here in the Dallas Area & the company colors were Red & therefore I paid everyone working with me R for C.D. Henderson Construction Group an extra $150.per month IF they drove a RED pickup (That Created Great Advertising ,since about 20-30 of my Construction Superintendents drove a Red Truck ) Anyway since I didn't originally buy one of the used Ford F-250s, I went online & found a used red Dodge 2500 diesel @ the Dodge Dealer in Bonham Texas ,so I drove up there & took a look but it was not really red as I expected from their promotional advertising. Then I went to Greenville Dodge Chrysler ,Jeep to look at another red 2019 diesel & I took it out for a test drive on a Friday Afternoon & when I went back to buy it on Saturday, it was already sold xxxx it ! So I drove over to Forest Lane Dodge Dealership the next week and they actually had a brand new red Dodge Power Wagon that Fred showed me & I just had to have it folks ! It had everything I wanted except running boards. Fred & I dickered around on the price for a while until I finally offered him $65,000 cash ; then he had to ask his sales manager , who came back with $65,500 so we made a deal that day & I paid for the running boards @ $2300 +/- and they installed them the next day on Friday. I actually waited another day & wrote them a personal check for $6500.00 on Saturday. My bank is closed on Saturday so it was the next week before I got a $59,000.00 Cashiers Check to give them, yet I had to wait until Friday November 13th to pick up my new 2020 RED Power Wagon including new retractable running boards ! The service was good and I appreciate the communication throughout the process. But I asked for the price quote for the services recommended and my total bill ended up being about $200 more than the quote. throughout the process. I would be more understanding if I had been told upfront that the quote didn’t include the labor but that was not the case. More
