After visiting the Auto Show this weekend we finally decided on the SUV that suits us. Currently we are driving a 2004 Saturn Vue which is starting to age. After searching the internet we narrowed the search to a few Equinoxes and Terrains in our budget range. Dropped by Clay Chevrolet Monday and spent the afternoon working with salesperson Mark MacDonald who was super helpful and easy to work with. The dreaded in your face sales approach did not seem pervasive at this dealership.The Terrain we picked out was in great shape, low mileage and priced about right for our finances. We took the Terrain out for a ride and wanted to test out the four cylinder engine to make sure it is powerful enough for the highway. The Terrain was smooth, peppy and well equipped with everything needed. The decision was made to purchase the vehicle and we spent some time working out the financial aspect of the deal. We arrived at some good affordable numbers and sealed the deal with Bob the finance manager. This was one of the smoothest and most effortless auto purchases made in the past few years. We will miss the old SUV but looking forward to many miles in the beautiful new Terrain. The dealership seemed efficient and well organized so we recommend this dealer to all. More
My husband, daughter and I went to many dealers on Route one and in Mendon. We were also heading down to Braintree until we decided to stop at Clay Chevy. We were greeted by an associate Mark MacDonald who was, from the start..very friendly. Mark showed us many cars for our daughter and she loved the chevy sonic. Trying to make the numbers work is not a fun thing to work on, but Mark made us very comfortable. We didn't buy it right away and left to go to more dealers...but we returned because Mark made it such a non-pressure experience, even our daughter thought it was an easy process. So we bought the car and love it and want to let Mark know that we will be back again in a few years when I want to get another car for myself!!! I also thought it was nice, after getting the keys to the car, that Mark introduced me to his boss and that a few days later I received an email from Mark and one from his boss. The process was done right....from day one to the last email! More

I took my elderly father into the dealership to help him out with turning in his lease and negotiating a new lease. Joel Vega was our salesman and he was by far the best salesman I have ever dealt with. I have bought tons of cars and haven't always had a great experience. Joel was compassionate and patient while I explained everything to my dad who is hard of hearing. At no point did Joel come off as trying to pull a fast one over my dad. The negotiation process was smooth and he was even patient enough to get different impalas for us from different lots while we waited when my dad was indecisive of which one he wanted. He even encouraged us to take one of them to my mother who was at the house to see if she liked one of them. I never write reviews of dealerships or salespeople but I am so impressed with Joel that I felt I owed it to Joel to let everyone know about our amazing experience. Thank you Joel! More
I had a very bad experience at another dealership that I ended up walking out on after two weeks of negotiations. So, when I came to Clay Chevrolet, I was very defensive and prepared for the worst. I sat down with Joel, who seemed to sense my defensiveness. We discussed what had happened and he was genuinely disappointed at my prior experience. I explained what I was looking for and within 1.5 hours, we'd made a deal and I was out the door. He was friendly, down to earth, and he listened to my concerns. He insisted I take the car for a test drive with him as to be sure I was truly happy with it. The process was smooth and I could tell, especially based on my prior experience, that he was not pulling any "dirty car salesmen" tactics. I wanted a good deal and he wanted to sell me a car. Simple as that. I would gladly work with him again in the future when purchasing a car. More
I walked into Clay Chevy with a clear idea of which vehicle I wanted, how much I wanted to pay, and how much I wanted for my trade. But I also walked in which the idea that it WOULD be a painful experi vehicle I wanted, how much I wanted to pay, and how much I wanted for my trade. But I also walked in which the idea that it WOULD be a painful experience of haggling, bartering, and playing all the usual car buying games. Every other dealership I've dealt with (and I've dealt with many), the obnoxious "car buying dance" that you play between the salesman and the sales manager has ALWAYS caused me to avoid the whole process. I hated being lied to, or being given the run-around, or being given a hard time. I just wanted to walk in and buy a car for a good price. Clay Chevrolet without a doubt did that for me. I traded in my '08 Ford Shelby GT500 which I bought from Jack Madden Ford in Norwood (as a corrolary, they're an awful dealership in case you were wondering) for a '13 Chevy Camaro ZL1. I know from experience that buying cars like that can be a painful process because they're sought after vehicles that the dealership is in NO way obligated to give you any kind of deal on. Tim Fleming gave me the price I wanted on that car and it blew me away that they were willing to do that. Moreover they gave me what I wanted for my GT500. Tim was extremely friendly and made the whole process as easy as it's ever been for me. I'm glad I went to Clay and I'm happy to get out of Ford and back in a Chevy. Hopefully I'm as pleased with the service department as I was with their sales department. More

It was a wonderful experience. the staff there was friendly specially Mark making me feel comfortable and free to ask question without forcing anything to me or attempting to change my decision. I was trying to trade in my wife's car, it is a Honda Accord, two years old with only 12,800 miles on it. They tried to tell me the car is in a negative balance with the lease. Any dealer would love to have a car on their lot that is two years old and only has 12,800 miles it should have 24,000 miles on it. I might look stupid but i'm not stupid.
