Poor Service on 2014 Buick Regal I have purchased GM cars for over 50 years. I have been going to Lannan Chevrolet for service for years and was always satisfied until July 28, 2015. My 2014 Buick with 8000 miles is under warranty and had a leak that caused a terrible moldy smell throughout the car. My car was there for three days. The first day no one could find a leak but took the front carpeting out to deodorize it and dry it out. The second day, I was told that they may have to take out all of the fabric on the interior of the car (carpeting, roof lining and leather seats) and replace it. I was told someone would get back to me by 9:00 a.m. on the third day as I had an appointment later in the day and needed a car. No call came and no offer of a car. By 10:30, I had tried twice to get through to service and was told no one was available. After leaving a message for the service manager, I got a call and was told they found the leak in the back taillight. It would be ready in a couple of hours. By 2:30, no call. I called and again could not get through to service. I told the receptionist that I wanted the air filters changed as I had COPD and an allergy to mold. At no time did anyone tell me there was no mold found. When I went to pick up my car, I was charged $41,37 for the air filters. I complained to the service manager to no avail. I would not have needed the filters changed if I knew that there was no mold. Someone should have called me at some point and explained the entire situation. I finally did speak with Chris Proto, the Assistant Service Manager and all issues have been resolved to my satisfaction. More
Incredible service experience Unexpected bearing problem. Told cannot drive car. Part would be shipped express overnite. Car has to stay at shop till repaired. BUT, they took it upon themselves to locate part nearby, then repaired my car the SAME DAY! Allowed my son-in-law's family to go on overnite camping trip without delay. What a complete surprise. Top notch service with no pressure. I emailed Lannan about possibly buying a new 2014 Impala. From the first response back, Steve was such a good salesman. I felt like I was buying a car off of a friend I had known for years. I had told him about all the issues I had while going to about a dozen dealers over the last few months. He was the first salesman who listened to what I was saying and tailored the sale around that. Found me a perfect 2014 Impala and then he handed me off to Peter, the finance manager. Steve told me Peter had 23 years experience and great reputation with the lenders he has been using forever. This proved to be a huge factor as I was working with short credit history and he was able to get an approval solely based off of his outstanding reputation with the banks. I was greatly appreciative that they didn't just toss me aside like some other dealerships have done. As I type this, I am about 5 hours away from picking up my new car and again I cannot stress the fact enough that these guys are great at what they do. If you are in the market for a car, go see Steve and Peter over at Lannan of Woburn. You will not be disappointed. P.S. Steve is a lot older (no offense Steve) than most car salesmen I have come in contact with. I believe this was the deciding factor as to why the experience was so good. Some of the younger guys can be obnoxious and not listen to a thing you say because they just want to make a buck as quick as possible. I truly did not feel like a customer with Steve. Again the best part for me was I felt like a friend who was being guided by a good friend who just so happen to have tons of experience in buying a car. I will most certainly be recommending him to ANYONE I know who is in the market for a vehicle. Go see them!!!! Thanks again!! More
My vehicle was running poorly so I brought it to the service dept. at Lannan Chevrolet. The work that was needed was extensive (water pump, fluids changed, transmission pan gasket and filter, spark plug service dept. at Lannan Chevrolet. The Service Consultant kept me informed regarding progress and price. When I came to pick up my vehicle that afternoon, I met Michael, a salesman, who joked with me about buying a new vehicle. We started talking and we ended up looking at a new vehicle briefly. There was no pressure to buy and I accepted his business card. It is likely that I will buy a new vehicle soon from him. The dealership is clean and renovated with a nice waiting area if you choose to sit and wait for your vehicle. I always choose to go home and wait. More
When someone hits your car, you expect a scenario of nightmares. I could go into all the other aspects of how this was one of the most pleasant and surprising experiences, but lets just talk about Lanna nightmares. First they were pleasant, reassuring, and promised to call That's nice but I have been burned. But they did call a few times with status updates. They handled absolutely everything with both insurance companies. So when they called early to say the car was ready, I was both in fear (oh no, they are done already) and optimistic (they did say they would do x and y). I picked up the car. Perfect. No sign of damage. Better then before I was hit. Perfect color match. They warmed the car up for me, said have a nice day, and we have already called the car rental people and they are on their way. Now I can't vouch for the price as that was all taken care of and I am unfamiliar with industry standard. But quality work. Now that is something so rare and hard to find, I needed to share. More
Ok...my family has bought about 6 vehicles from Lannan, and we have always had a great experience. I have since moved to Cape Cod, almost 2 hours from Lannan but saw a used Ford Fusion with a great price. and we have always had a great experience. The problem was immediately I had a problem with the wipers, door handle, and the electrical in the heater. At a great inconvience I had to bring it back three times. I will get back to my service in a moment, but during my trials and tribulations I met Sales Manager Mr. Peter Caliendo..He is a credit to the Lannan family, he was professional while I complained, he attacked my problems attempting at every turn to minimize my inconvience, and even was going to get me a new truck to take home on one of my three visits so that I wasn't stranded. He made note of my wiper issue and honored the faulty wiper after my 3650 mile warranty expired due to the ongoing problem with it. The problem was taken care of, and due to this gentleman, and the excessive driving I do, and the fact I only buy American vehicles....I will directly speak to him in probably 2 years for another vehicle...he is a credit to Lannan........nice job Peter. The negative....I was a supervisor of a police department for 25 years and customer service is our primary objective, building a relationship with the community. The service department has a man named Joe Ascolese and I hope you never need service from Lannan. He is rude, abrasive, incredibly angry and aggressive. I was told on 2 of my visits when I called and told them what time I could bring my vehicle, and the employee stated for me to come in and have to work done to the safety issues with faulty wipers, not to mention the snow that was forecasted on both occasions. Now I have a 2 hour ride to get the service, and when I arrived the first time, I explained to Mr. Ascolese that I was told to come in and how far I drove, and the fact I was scared with my grandson in the car, and the wipers only intermittently working. The first time he raised his voice and demanded to know who told me to come in...and then lectured me on coming in at 1pm......(middle of the day in my world)....I could not get over how angry and aggressive he was. I left and the wipers again stopped working, on my second trip back from Cape Cod, after I was told my Lannan's to bring the vehicle in, Mr. Ascolese stated " you again, I wanna know who told you to come"....he then told me , it didn't matter, and he was not going to fix my wipers....he then stated ", let me help you and ill get the door for you", as he walked to the big bay door and pushed the button for me to leave". That is a first for me....I buy a car and when the wipers don't work, mind you three times......im told NO he wont work on it, he is really angry, red faced and loud and then throws me out...."....that Is when I went in the front of the sales and met Mr. Caliendo who did everything in his power to minimize Mr. Ascolese. I also spoke today to Mr. Mike Riviera who was happy, helpful and willing to assist me, again I admit only a conversation, but a nice credit to Lannan. It is funny, how can owners of a car dealership have a guy that works in service, who gets really mad when you need service.....lol......that is amazing........I cant even begin to estimate how much money Mr Ascolese is costing the Lannan owners......im torn now that I think about it.....I want to come back to be helped by Mr Caliendo, but what if something happens to my vehicle during warranty....I have to bring it in and get thrown out into a snow storm with no wipers......well at least he opened the door for me.......what a complete unprofessional jerk.....so angry...........oh ya , Robert E Downer Jr......... We went to this dealership and dealt with Zach Green, he made the car buying experience one of the most pleasurable experiences we have had in all the years of purchasing a car. His knowledge of the car and enthusiasm were more than we expected. Also at the dealership there was no pressure or hassles. Zach also put in the time to find us the car we wanted in short order. My wife and I were truly impressed and will be back for our next vehicle. More
