The process of trading in my car was easier than I thought. The process of choosing a model was straightforward with the help of Amine Abad. He helped me figure out what I needed and was very clear with showing me all the options. He also showed me the different vehicles (even the ones in the far lot) to make sure I got car that was the right fit. Bad experience I left this dealership in tears after attempting to purchase my first car. I spent 3 hours here after saying when I came in "I fully intend to buy a c I left this dealership in tears after attempting to purchase my first car. I spent 3 hours here after saying when I came in "I fully intend to buy a civic today" and I truly did. The manager told me that I could negotiate the price down if I came in with intention to buy on the spot. The young guy I was working with was very kind and was truly trying but he was not ready to make this sale on his own yet and his manager mentioned that he was very new and needed some slack- been there so I totally understood and he was so fun and nice to work with. That being said, I came in knowing what I wanted and After over 2 hours there I decided on a car and was ready to sign papers the associate even said "this is your new car!" I was so happy!! Then after prepping everything I am told the car has actually been sold and I can't have it and all they have left is a vehicle in a color and interior that I do not want. I wait another 10 or so and they come back saying they do actually have another. Now I've spent half of my Saturday waiting for these people to get themselves organized- it's 6 p and I'm hungry and ready to get on the road for my 1.5 hr drive home on my Saturday night. I ask if they can make a price deduction for the headache and frustration I've been put through and they come back and tell me to take a hike. Im very upset about this as I was SO excited to make this purchase and close the deal but I just felt upset and wanted my first car purchase to be fun and exciting not confusing and frustrating but I was willing to put that aside for a little extra money off to help me out starting out. Moral of the story- My young sales guy was WONDERFUL but needed a bit more help and the managers were unwilling to see the long term benefit of giving me a deal and earning my loyalty for many years to come. I wound up heading to a smaller local Honda dealer the next day and they listened to my needs and wants as well as my price limit and I wound up with a gorgeous new CRV. I adore the CRV and am so glad I didn’t get roped into the civic. I’d say take your business to a local dealer who cares about you and doesn’t want you to end up in the wrong vehicle. More
