Resistance to paying cash I had a very dissapointing purchase experience at Boch Honda on February 25, 2017. There were many issues but the main problems were: Time - It took I had a very dissapointing purchase experience at Boch Honda on February 25, 2017. There were many issues but the main problems were: Time - It took 4 hours start to finish. We came knowing exactly what we wanted and came to an agreed on price quickly, the process shouldn't have take so long. We sat and waited for 40 min before we even saw the car we came to look at. Salesman's knowledge: David couldn't answer a single question about the car features. He even told me AWD and 4WD were the same. I was buying a car that we will drive on the beach so I needed 4WD. Financing: The sales manager accepted our initial offer IF we agreed to finance a portion of the sale. We are anti-debt and were very uncomfortable with this. We asked what other counter they might offer but he just came back to the financing option. I understand they make money on the loan contract but the manager was very pushy and had the financing manage come over and explain to us why it was no big deal and was almost insulting about the fact that we don't believe in using debt. Since we had already invested over 2 hours at this point and were otherwise happy with the price we finally agreed. However there were further issues and an additional fee tacked on at the financing paperwork that we were then to frustrated to argue about. I gave the dealership 2 stars because we did get the car we wanted at the price we wanted. However it was such a hassle that I would never return. More
