I stopped by the dealership as I was currently in a lease agreement with Jersey City Kia & my payments were too high. Nick was able to get me into a 2021 sportage with lower car payments. First off, let me start with stating that the staff were seemingly very friendly and seemed like great people. The issues I have with this dealership is organization. I contacted them in hopes of leasin seemingly very friendly and seemed like great people. The issues I have with this dealership is organization. I contacted them in hopes of leasing a vehicle. I was told by their online sales contact that they had a vehicle to test drive and to come in that day. So I did. When I get there, I'm referred to a sales rep and he goes to show me the vehicle. I ask for the test drive and he says they don't have any vehicles for test drives. (This is a bummer cause I drove exactly for this reason). I did like the car in general so we placed a deposit that day to hold the vehicle and I'd come in to test drive the one I looked 2 days later once the dealership had it ready (supposedly it just came in). The day I'm supposed to go in (scheduled for 6-6:30pm), I get a call approx around 4:50pm-5:00pm and my sales rep tells me.."Hey that car you put a deposit on..was actually sold earlier that day. You won't be able to test drive" . (Irked me cause they literally had all day to tell me this information. Not sure why it took 2 days to figure out the car was sold) So... 0-2 trying to test drive this car...0-1 on using a deposit to hold a car. Could have been a bad day in data entry or processing paperwork for Nutley Kia but overall, just gave the impression of a disorganized place. Made the decision to go elsewhere with my business. *Edit* Been a week trying to get my "deposit" refunded. Sales person doesn't respond to emails. I call and get forwarded to voicemail and of course, the calls aren't returned. Pretty disappointed. Needless to say, ready to fight this charge with the credit card company as the dealership continues to dodge calls/ emails. More
