csarrate We apologize for your situation. We did not perform a tune up -- your mileage did not warrant that service yet. We did perform an oil and filter change. If an engine light was an issue, it would have come on immediately after the service not a month later. Engine lights can come on for a multitude of reason - even after a gas fill -up. This is not an emergency situation. Our Service schedule is jammed and if we can bring you in sooner, we will reach out to you. Jim Russomano, Owner

From Anne Russomano, Owner Nutley Auto Kia It is our preference not to debate customer issues online. Unfortunately, you chose to make this situation public, leaving us no choice but to respond with a few facts you failed to mention. 1.) This was you first visit to our dealership. Your vehicle has over 150,000 miles and has had work done at multiple shops. 3.) Your vehicle has been diagnosed with serious suspension issues – you even showed us an estimate for suspension repairs from another shop. 4.) We started with the most obvious issue by replacing tie rods. At that time, we immediately informed you that additional work was needed. You initially approved the recommended repairs – we even committed to helping you with cost efficiencies. You then decided to not go forward with the repairs. You refused to sign our paperwork alerting you that your vehicle was unsafe to drive. 5..) You then attempted to grab your keys prior to making payment and threatened our staff with physical harm (had it not been for your recent surgery). 6.) Your actions required us to contact the Nutley Police Department due to your unwarranted and unhinged behavior. You threatened our staff and under no circumstances is that acceptable. Your vehicle is unsafe to drive, and we were only trying to help. It is best for all that you do not return to our dealership. We strongly recommend you make the necessary repairs to your vehicle at another shop for your own personal safety.

Your review is long on your continued verbal (now written) abuse and short on the necessary details. The single reason I asked you to no longer bring you vehicle in for service is because of your treatment of my staff. Randal and his team, mostly woman, are traumatized by their multiple interactions with you. It seems that you believe by insulting and treating women and men with disrespect you will get what you want. And then when you are respectfully called out for your behavior you hide in behind your husband and an anonymous review. The missing facts: 1.) You purchased an electric vehicle from Nutley Auto Kia, we were the only dealership in the district that was not charging $ thousands over MSRP for new vehicles. 2.) You charge your vehicle at public charging stations, and you claim your vehicle was not holding a charge when sitting in your driveway. 3.) Nutley Auto had possession of your vehicle on multiple occasions and each time we charged your vehicle on our in-house charger we never experienced any loss of power or charge. We were never able to duplicate your concern. And each time you were provided with a loaner vehicle. 4.) Our extremely talented team consulted with engineers from Kia Corporate throughout the process, one even came on site and could not duplicate your concern. At no point did Kia Corporate offer to replace the battery on your vehicle under warranty because your concern could not be validated. 5.) Prior to responding to your review this morning, I responded to six 5 Star reviews with many positive comments about the treatment by our staff, that is simply who we are. You can write whatever you want about me (even when it is untrue), but I refuse to allow you to inflict any more of your punishment upon my staff. They all deserve better. 6.) The experience with you was not about being incompetent, rude, combative, embarrassed, etc. It was simply about your mistreatment of our staff. We are entering our 19th year in business and take no joy in parting ways with any customers. In this case we had to do what was right by our employees. 7.) While driving the loaner vehicles provided by us you racked up EZPass toll charges that you now refuse to pay. Respectfully, Jim Russomano, Owner

1st of all i dont know what your talking about women being mistreated, but its inappropriate when i questioning the bill and the assistant manager is raising his voice and we both disagree a situation because he doesn't like to be called"Crooks" it doesnt mean you start taking off your shirt and looking to fist fight the customers Which it did take place. Your assistant manager should have been fired and arrested!!

Our employee did lose their job because the response to your attack was completely inappropriate. You suffer no consequences for being out of control and instigating a completely unnecessary situation over a $90 legitimate charge. Again we are in a terrible place in this world with how people treat one another! As per your Manager his only been thier for 5 weeks and hes was totally out of line for doing that.. If thats the way your employees handle a bad situation.
