Old Orchard Nissan responded

So sorry for your inconvenient misfortune. However, I am so certain you, just this week praised the above and beyond customer service you have ALWAYS received here and its why you come back . There was lots of some kind of a foreign brown liquid (either soda or coffee) inside your gear selector and shorted out an electrical component . We tried helping your situation, Nissan declined any warranty as it was not a defect of your vehicle but instead customer neglect . As you and I both agreed if you spilled the same liquid on your cell phone and shorted it out that you would be liable and not the fault of the phone . And if you were rude , cursing, and belligerent with Nissan corporate as you were with me (someone trying to help you ) they probably declined any goodwill on your behalf .
