Ted1959 - Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. I do not have a Sales Manager with the name of "Hank" so hopefully you can help me figure out who this was so I can speak to them. I am sorry that there was not more compassion or empathy shown and I would like to speak to that employee. It's never our goal to make someone feel worse. I do appreciate that you understand the value of the vehicle being impacted. As you know, we would disclose that it was delivered and returned and every consumer would question why it was returned, what was wrong, etc, making it next to impossible to sell. Even though, we should have done a better job to make the situation easier. Thank you again and let me know if you need anything else and see if you can find or describe the manager. Ed W.

Ed , thank you for responding back . I really needed to let you know what kind of customer service we encountered. Michael Morse at the V.W. dealership said his name was Hank. Our salesman was Claudio Schmidt , he will know the sales managers name. We had a great experience there until we needed help after the sale, then we were ignored . sincerely Ted Stewart

ED , I STILL HAVE AN ISSUE WITH THE TRADE IN VALUE OF THE ACCORD . WE ENDED UP LOSING OVER 4000.00 DOLLARS ON THIS DEAL , IS THAT REASONABLE ? WE HAD THE VEHICLE OVERNIGHT. I AM A REASONABLE PERSON , BUT I REALLY FEEL THAT WE WERE TAKEN ADVANTAGE OF . IF YOU WOULD CONSIDER CONTACTING ME , I CAN BE REACHED AT 410-979-4423 , THANK YOU SINCERLY TED STEWART

Ted, Yes, I will be available tomorrow afternoon to call or perhaps we could set up a face to face meeting to discuss everything. Let me know what works best for you. I do understand the financial setback on trading a vehicle so soon. As I explained, or perhaps I did not, when we deliver a vehicle and then trade it so soon, we must by law disclose that it was delivered, and simply cannot just take it back. The significant issue we run into is when we attempt to sell the vehicle as used any buyer will want an explanation as to why was a vehicle returned. What is wrong with it? Why would someone purchase something and then return it? We of course will explain your reasons, however, since consumers tend to not trust dealers and all think we makes thousands and thousands of dollars when we sell vehicles it’s a hard argument to win. That being said, let me explain it this way. If we had given you $1,000 more and the difference was now only $3,000 we would put your used vehicle on the sales lot, Maryland State inspect it etc. We would ask for a modest profit which of course any consumer is going to want to negotiate lower. When a consumer looks at the option of buying a brand new, never delivered with special financing of 1.9% for $1,000 more, why at that point wouldn’t they take the special rate and pay the small difference and get new? There needs to be enough of an incentive to entice them to purchase a previously delivered vehicle that was returned not matter the reason or time table. So to wrap up, let me know if you would prefer a face to face meeting or if you would prefer me to call you tomorrow afternoon once my meetings wrap up. Thanks for reading attempt to better explain this. Regards, Ed Wheaton

Enough said , I understand how the system works and I appreciate you taking time out to respond to me. My problem is with Oursman V. W. as they misled us on how much we were going to lose on the Honda. We may have kept the Honda had we known how much we would have lost. I know you are separate stores , but who do I talk to ? I want someone to know from Oursman what happend to us. Thank You Ed , I really do appreciate your concerns . I am normally a passive type person to these issues but I can not get past this one, Thanks Ted

Ted, I'd like to meet you in person. I am the right person to speak to. I am the Vice President and directly responsible for both stores which is why I reached out to you initially. As before, let me know if you would like me to call you tomorrow afternoon or set up a meeting. Thanks again. Ed also, please use edwheaton@me.com moving forward, it's most likely easier than this format.
